Comprehensive coverage yet again. These guns are reminding me of the saigole gun I almost got a few years ago. The hanging hook was in the shape of an upper case B though very strange looking. The only reason I don’t get any Chinese guns is I fear the gaskets will go wrong quickly. Some patent has to have expired with all these sata-like guns. Thank you for doing all the patterns on all the guns, I’ve avoided buying probably two guns because I could tell it was too small for me.

Hi Pete, very nice looking guns I could get used to having a few of them on my gun rack😁you can just tell from the video that they look to be decent quality which is nothing like the cheap Chinese copies that you see for sale and that I have used😆 I do like the look of the PRD715 as it's very Sata like but different (if you know what I mean) I think it's just the look of the body and the way the controls are placed🤔 I'm looking forward to seeing the spraying and review of each gun, cheers Pete👌👍

Hi John, Yes, hopefully, the quality does show on the video. The PRD715 is quite sata like although it differs in that all the controls are metal. On the Sata, they are plastic painted chrome. It feels very similar in the hand, I really like the WP99G, a side cup split tip gun, very nice indeed, the other one PRD625 is proving just as good as well, as I say, I've been surprised by the build quality. Cheers, mate. I'll get some individual reviews up when I can, I've had them a while, but I wanted to give them time to see how they stood up but so far, so good 👍

It always amazes me that you pay all that for the X5500 but you only get plastic controls, I mean wtf is that all about 🤷‍♂😆 I've been looking at these on their website and they make a few guns, the 2 that are black look like the walcom 190 when you first look at them but they all look well made, it's a shame you can't easily buy them from the site as I'm sure they would be very popular🤔cheers Pete👍

@JohnWD40TC02 Hi John, They are a manufacturer, so they will take order's from distributors and big dealers that want some guns in their name. That's one thing I was a little unsure about as people are bound to ask where they can buy them, and it's not that simple. One of the black guns is designed for left-handed painters, and the other is a new model
@JohnWD40TC02
@JohnWD40TC02 9 ай бұрын
I suppose they are more geared up to supply the distributors rather than the general public but I think they should also cater for joe public. So are these left-handed guns the same as left-handed hammers🤔🤪🤣I suppose if it's like a sata they could put the fan adjustment on the other side of the gun🔨🤔🤭👍
@peteshobbies5383

Hi Donna, these are a manufacturer in China, so they normally make them for other wholesale and distributors with there name on them. Some elements are similar to Sata, but others aren't. The thing I think that sets these apart is that the quality of engineering seems very good, not the normal standard. Only time will tell as to how they last, I've had the gun's for a few months without problems, so we will see, cheers, mate 👍

Im sure you know this, but for people who watch on their phones, a good way of showing whether a gun sprays top or bottom heavy, turn the cap so that it sprays horizontally and spray it long enough for it to run and you get a very effective visual representation by seeing how it runs. Though it wouldn't show how fine the atomization is with that approach
@peteshobbies5383
@peteshobbies5383 9 ай бұрын
Hi buddy, Yes, that's a good way to show it, I try to convey what I see, which should help people, also, it is important to have a diaphragm regulator in the system, I have 2 so the pressure when you first pull the trigger is constant, otherwise you get an initial serge that can make a pattern top or bottom heavy through no fault of the gun, cheers mate, good comment 👍

I ordered both of those! I feel like these companies have figured out how to make a quality spraygun without the greed. Put Sata and Sagola name on the side of it and all of a sudden its a flagship spraygun that every painter must go out and buy.............for $800😁

Hi Erik , Yes, that is the exact same feeling I get. It's a quality product at reasonable money. They are more expensive than most Chinese guns, but they are obviously trying to make a better quality offering, so use better materials, which all costs money. I've been very impressed with everything I've had from the so far, hopefully that will continue, cheers buddy 👍

Just bought a AliExpress gun after watching your other video, when you have a new cheap Chinese gun is there any way/need to clean out the body where the air goes through the handle/valve etc or is this unnecessary? Thanks
@peteshobbies5383
@peteshobbies5383 3 ай бұрын
Hi buddy, It's depends, some of them are coming with a lot of grease, that's inside the air tract which can cause problems, the last few cheaper Chinese guns I've had haven't had any excess. What I would and indeed do is just whip it apart and check. If some bits come through on your work, it is really annoying. It may not happen, but it's really annoying if it does. Cheers, buddy 👍

Hi Pete, Very much enjoy your videos and your work. It would be great and very useful if you could show / explain how you go about painting a tank. What I mean is the sequence and procedure for doing both the underside and then the top. I'm wondering if you do the underside first with Primer, base & clear, then turn over and repeat for the top? At the moment, I'm tending to Prime, then Satin black the underside, then turn over for the finish. This is mainly as a timesaver. Be great if you could show how you do it. Many thanks Jono
@peteshobbies5383
@peteshobbies5383 9 ай бұрын
Hi Jono, thanks mate, good to hear you're enjoying the videos. On some of my videos, you will see me doing the underside as well. It all depends on the condition, what requirements are, etc. I tend to suspend the tank from the roof and prime the complete tank, then if it's base and clear on the underside I'll normally base and clear the underside, leave it till the following day, mask it, then do the top. Sometimes, I will do it all hanging from the roof, so base and clear it all at the same time. Again, some of my videos will show this. There's no set way I do things, really. It's whatever I think is best at the time.

@@peteshobbies5383Many thanks for your reply Pete, much appreciated. I know it's always a much better job if the underside is finished the same as the top, ie; base & clear, but it is a pain to do. I particulary like your dumb waiter rotary idea. I was lucky and bought a second garden table which had one. We never thought it would be used, so it's in my spray booth, and I find it's absolutely brilliant. Being able to turn it round and get my gun 90 degrees to the surface without having to hardly move is brilliant, so many thanks for that. I recently have bought an Iwata W400 Beleria for clear and it's brilliant. Just ordered a airbrush, so looking forward to learning how to use that and trying a little custom stuff. Once again, keep the videos coming and thanks you Jono

@jonnow1234 The underside of a tank is a funny thing, some like it to look as good as the top, others, me included sometimes like it in a satin finish and others just don't care as long as it's protected. Most of us would like to do a good job of the base as it's a reflection of your attention to detail, bike parts are quite complicated for the most part, lots of body shops won't do them as they are so time consuming. I'm glad you like the rotating table, I use mine loads and it really helps if space is limited, as you say, you don't need to move much to get full access to whatever is on it. Cheers buddy, appreciate the comments 👍

I need a new primer gun. Since switching over from all Walcom to the three Devilbiss DV1 guns and and FLG 1.8mm for primer. I love those three DV1 guns but I absolutely hate that FLG 1.8mm its an awful primer gun IMO. I wanted to try the porphis prd-1 or whichever its purple on their website and is available in 1.8mm. Problem is i cant get it in the USA. So now i am considering either an ANI F1/N 1.8mm, or an Iwata Wider 4 1.8mm

Hi Mate, The FLG5 is an OK primer gun but not particularly good. It is very reliable. I would go for the ANI F160 1.9, it's a very competent primer gun and similarly pricing to the FLG5, I wasn't impressed with the Kiwami4 BA4J 1.8, it's ok but not particularly inspiring, I have done videos on them all if you're interested

Hi Juan, I've found the split nozzle guns to atomise finer. It does tend to slow the gun down as it reduces the material flow, so it is better suited to a good quality clear coat that flows well. This allows for a thinner finer coating, certainly a real plus for custom work where finish is more important than speed 👍
