Porsche 1990 964 C2 from a UK auction…mistake?

I recorded this content 18 months ago now, the day after landing the car from the UK. Sorry about the poor lighting!
I finally got around to putting this together to share a little bit about my reasons for jumping in and buying a 911 sight unseen from the UK, and let you see what I saw when I finally got the car back to Australia.
I’d been hunting for the perfect spec for sometime and missed cars here and there that I'd regretted over a number of years.
I decided this car was not going be another one that got away...pushed the button and bought it.
It was an anxious, agonising wait, tracking the vessel, waiting for customs, and finally getting to pick her up for the drive home. The trip home from the docks in Melbourne was a little tense, the weather was crap, the car was stalling, fogging, and getting louder by the minute!
When made it, and I finally got underneath her skin to see what sort of condition she was really in, it was a pretty intimidating experience.
I had the new tail lights sitting there, I couldn’t help myself.

did you have to do an asbestos inspection before you shipped the car?

Yeah, calculated on the total invoice plus shipping costs….at least you can avoid the transfer fee in the state via club reg…
