The RS3 driver got the jump ahead of the Cayman at start (looks like a 718 S with design body kit). Crossing the line the Porsche was hitting 113.2mph at 12.28 secs, Audi 110.19 at 12.24 secs. If the Porsche driver had better reactions he would clinched it.

No way in the wide world, the porsche is a 0-/60mph/100kph in 4. 9 seconds car, the rs3 is a 3.7 but Audi say 4.1 because it's actually faster than the rs4 from 0-/60/100 so audi don't want people buying the more expensive and more powerful audi to be butt hurt by the rs3 being faster, but those who know cars know the rs3 is a supercar beater with just an ecu tune 😉

@@lateralbeats the RS3 is a 4.1 sec car and Cayman is 4.7 sec. RS3 is quicker off line due to its awd/ front wheel drive bias. But after 80 the aerodynamics and gearing of the Cayman show. RS3 stock are 12.6@112 cars. Fyi: Reaction time has nothing do with the 1/4 time or trap speed. The timer starts individually for each car when they cross the line/laser beem.

I did 11.8 at 117 in a stock RS5 B9. Sold my RS3 and had 12.1 at 113 stock. My 2016 911 4s did 11.7 at 118. These are all quick cars. Rather have the Cayman over the RS3.

Looks like an S (not GTS) as most GTSs have a bright GTS emblazoned on the headrests, which looks plain to me. A few people do choose the sport design so that seems likely.

You mean "quicker". Times are a reference to quick and fast is a reference to speed/mph. IE: 12.2 is quick, 113 mph is reasonably fast. Got it? When a person says a vehicle is fast they need to understand it is a reference to its 1/4 mi trap speed or top speed.

Audi 3 series cars are slugs stock. I tested a S3 the other day. The turbo lag was unreal in every drive mode. S3 can't hit 60 mph in under. 5.3 sec. RS3 is around 4.4 sec to 60 realistically. Most magazines over state the acceleration stats to help sell the brand or model. I know this, because I worked for one. MotorWeek is one of the mosycreliabkr sources of acceleration stats out there. So too are some European magazines. Case in point, of the 8 magazines that tested the new 2018 turbo Civic Type R, they all got 0 to 60 mph of 5.5 to 5.7 sec, but either Car&Driver or MotorTrend got a 4.9 sec run. They all got 13.6 to 13.8 @105 mph 1/4 runs, but again one US mag got 108.7 mph in the 1/4.

My stock RS3 hit 0-60 on the street in 3.8 (Dragy confirmed). Stage 1 tune on 93 octane gets me 3.3 sec, again, on an unprepped public street. You don't know what you're talking about.

GOLF R stage 1 (345hp) 0-100km/h - 4.004 sec. 1/4mile - 12.1 sec. :D (dragy confirmed). Audi S3 stock with same engine like a GOLF R - 0-100km/h - 4.6 sec.
