Also, a side note, but a very real one, thank you for using good mics and taking the time to make sure what we're hearing on our end, even though it's not nowhere near what you guys are hearing, but at least on our end, it's the best possible presentation....truly, nobody else showcases car audio like yourself, and it doesn't go without notice... thanks man 👌🏻

Hello guys, I am a fan of all your work, I would like to see a work on a hatchback!! Have they never used an AE sub installed in the lid that all hatchbacks have? I have a cupra leon and I would like to use an IB15AU or an IB18AU sub and make a very strong top to work on it in IB!! should it work?
@pssound97494 ай бұрын
Unfortunately strong top is not enough, plus sealing to the tailgate is never ideal.

@@pssound9749 okay I understand!! Have you ever tried Audiomobile brand subs? I think those guys are making good subs, it would be interesting to see one of them reach their hands!! I'm still on the lookout for all its content!! greetings from Mexico

Listening in a 2008 PC with 2.1 creative sound system. I can fell the difference here, i wonder how it is live.....Same feeling with the 15" cheap woofer vs the 8" expensive one. The first shakes your bones and the room. The second only the hears. I'm i right Peter? Best regards!
@pssound97495 ай бұрын
Good subbass depends on mainly location and application in a car, then tuning. You can use small/big, cheap/expensive, all these options can perform well and very poorly too.
@Alexbailey14734 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm trying to decide the optimal location for a front subwoofer. Would you recommend placing it in the passenger footwell or the glovebox area?

THOSE TWEETERS HONESTLY LOOK GREAT , THANKS TO YOUR MAGIC THESE FLOW PRETTY WELL WITH THE PILLARS . NICE JOB PETER AND EDDIE IF HE IS STILL THERE WITH YOU. WHERE IS EDDIE ANYWAY ?
@pssound97495 ай бұрын
Edy is very much around, he built those pillars! You just don’t see him on KZbin as he finishes the day earlier than when these videos are taken at the handovers.

Hey Pete, i'm currently debating if i want to cut my floor or firewall to mount 8" midbass drivers. how high do they play when inverted vs not inverted? does it even matter? if i mount the magnet inside the car, i have a lot more options. i have a midrange in the pillar that i can cross over at 300hz, maybe 250ish. good video as always. thanks for showing the stuff! :D
@pssound97494 ай бұрын
With magnet in the cabin the upper extension is slightly limited, but not as much as it is limited by the location anyway. Ideally you need a midrange that can play down to 200-250Hz. It rarely happens that you can integrate them at 300Hz, but sometimes it does happen. It’s really car dependent.

The audio crackles/distorts when I play something in 192khz digital out from iPhone into helix mini. Can that be fixed?
@sylvainschmitt94474 ай бұрын
That's because the helix mini can't play music at 192khz resolution, only 96khz. I've got the same problem with my sdsp68 steg, I burnt out two speakers before I realised it was because of this... I bought a Helix p six ultimate that I'm putting in at the end of the year, this dsp can read up to 192khz coax
@Dav.vid14 ай бұрын
@@sylvainschmitt9447 right on, thanks for the info. So if my head unit shows it’s playing at 192khz (using high level inputs going to DSP) it actually isn’t or it is converted down?
@sylvainschmitt94474 ай бұрын
@@Dav.vid1No, it's not automatically lowered to 96khz. I advise you to use Qobuz as your streaming platform, as you can manually limit listening to 96khz in the settings. This is not the case with Tidal, for example.

When the owner's fingers pause on the volume potentiometer after selecting the song he was looking for and bringing it up to listening level 🤫🫠 That's the point, where he didn't have to say anything to you about your work, that finger said it all 👌🏻
