Something a bit different from the usual Nordschlafe Hot Lap. Warning: Please don't try this at home, at Touristenfahrten or at trackdays. The lap was done with the permission of the Nürburgring!

Vielen Dank dafür! Was ein geniales und kreatives Video! Solche Ideen vermisst man heutzutage vom Magazinen sowie KZbin Auto Reviews sehr! Eine tolle Idee und super dass Porsche uns vorallem auch die Nordschleife da mitgemacht haben und zu zeigen das es nicht nur ein show Modell ist um dem Trend zu folgen sondern das die Kiste auch mit hoher Geschwindigkeit vom curb in den rasen hüpfen kann und man kann den rechten Fuß unten lassen bis wieder Asphalt zu spüren ist! the milestone that porsche achieved in 911 platform is higher than what ferrari and lamborghini had achieved in different platforms . I beleive porsche philosophy in building the 911 and continue to develop and improve over 60 years proves that its not necessary to start over with white sheet of design every time , i raise my hat

I think this lap could theoretically be improved. There are a few cuts that are likely to risky to go for in the run irl, I really wish they would open up this layout of the Nordschleife in Assetto Corsa so we, the viewers, can try to improve the theoretical best, maybe in AC2 they think of this

The tyre noise with this compound is exactly what I can relate although I've never driven a true performance auto. I'm going to be much slower through the corners without AWD. Truly the stuff Dreams are made of! 🎉

Normally for me it's a sin to not take the inside of the Karussell but you didn't even go through there and I just have to respect the speed you took especially with the blinding sun on the exit xD And it is so incredible to me how much the driver has to fight with the car on the tarmac because of the all-terrain-tires. Definitely a problem you don't usually expect a 911 to have but that makes this car so unique and I really love it for those capabilities it has! Great test and absolutely impressive lap!

Probs about 10 seconds slower. The time gained with the shortcut would be lost by the fact it’s raised and on all terrain tires. Stick some cup 2 tires on and the difference in speed would be huge.

6:18 everyone is saying "shortcut" but barely anyone knows about this part... its called the "steilstrecke" and it was a original part of the nordschleife. for the english speaking audience: steilstrecke means steep track. it was way too dangerous for racing so it was already closed in the early years of the nürburgring...
