We need to recognize this is a RWD rear engine, not mid engine car, with regular strut suspension and not some trick suspension. Of course it'll get beat by the Valkyrie, likely the Senna, and the Mercedes One, but it's kind being what the GT2RS has done, especially the Manthey Racing (GT2RS MR), which is only suspension and tires, and no horsepower modifications.
@alisoleymani3987

Manthey Racing has also tweaked the aero on the GT2 RS MR, rear diffuser, bigger wing, and some aero parts for the front bumber, but OMG what an absolute beast it is😍😍
@smminco
@smminco 5 жыл бұрын
@@alisoleymani3987 yeah, forgot to add the aero. But really, it's pretty close to the same car. Not like the NISMO GT-R on the list, which had as much money in upgrades as the car cost. I'll bet the GT2RS MR could have taken the ring record with just the Sport Cup 2S tires and just suspension adjustments from Manthey (and not the KW suspension). It just blows me away that a 911 is crushing all of these supercars. Just a beefy 911.

@@smminco Yes absolutely!! Porsche has done some serious engineering for this Gen of the GT2RS which is just mind blowing!! Nissan will never ever be able to do what just Porsche did. I mean seriously, after 35 years not even a single car could get close to the record of the 956,but Porsche itself, has demolished their own record by an enormous 51 seconds. This is history!!! actually Manthey Racing driver himself said that Nurburgring did let them have only 1 lap to set the record and they crushed it! Also he said that tires was not the secret sauce for their achievement, which means you won the bet buddy😉🤘🏼 Well done Porsche!!👌🏼👌🏼

@MrAwsomeness777
@MrAwsomeness777 5 жыл бұрын
@@perpelle Ive driven and owned manual cars, from little Econo boxes to a gt350 to a cayman gt4. they are "fun" as you say but to me, a race car should go fast. I think "drivers" cars are a waste because they aren't fast on the track, nor very fuel efficient on the street. they are in no mans land and kind of pointless so having a manual is nice to someone like you but in reality, serves no purpose other than causing the driver more work having to think about other things to do in the car. Now, I will say, the freedom with shifting is nice on a manual but that benefit does not outweigh all the cons it brings compared to a PDK or most other DCT transmissions.
@perpelle
@perpelle 5 жыл бұрын
@@MrAwsomeness777 A manual is not slow on a track, it's just a little slower then a good auto. How many race their sport cars on the track to benefit the auto? How many drivers can push the limits on their sport cars? What do you loose in driver involvement (that will say, less fun)? Having fun and enjoying driving sports cars isn't about one second here and there on a race track, that is hyper car territory. If that wasn't true every sports car that isn't as fast as the top dog of 2019 would be a bad sport car. There would be no "classic" sport car because your new standard is that it must have an auto to be enjoyable. Having to "think" what to do when you have a manual in a sports car, is that a problem? They are not made for daily driving in the city anyway (I wouldn't have a problem with it though).

@@d3extreme lewis hamilton is racing a car against other racing drivers who also have the same electronic aids. Besides atleast they shift the car. The PDK basically does all the dynamic things a human wld do in a manual car but with a superprocessor and sensors as a brain. So when a computer is taking care of all the dynamic imputs of the car then yes it makes it easier. Throttle, braking (abs linked to traction control linked to the rev match and gear selection) ,clutch input and shifting are all computer controlled. Imagine driving a lil kids Power Wheels toy car. That wld be equivelent dynamically😀

Darwin Carey f1 cars don’t have a clutch pedal, they rev match for the driver also. Seems pretty similar to a gt2 rs. My point is that being relaxed behind the wheel has nothing to do whether the driver is manually operating a shifter and clutch pedal or the technology of the car is doing it on its own.

Value over time doesn't matter when it comes to speed. A 30 million dollar vintage ferrari would be smoked by a $70000 performance car now.
