They will not go below MSRP, maybe with over 10K miles.

I paid $40,000 over msrp for a 2024 GT4 - I suspect a premium really but I got to spec the car and I know the car is brand new and I get the full warranty. And perhaps there are subtle changes from say the 2022 to the 2024 models as more than likely Porsche has “fixed” issues with some parts that have proven needed improvements from warranty claims. But I do suspect that $40,000 over on a winged car will prove high when I decide to sell this car. Unless Porsche decides that 2024 is the last model year or that the 2025 will be a hybrid. How much premium is there in a 2023 or 2024 model versus a 2022. With normal cars this difference is usually significant. Will the msrp of a like 2022 car set the base used car value for 2023 and 2024 cars? The increased base price did influence my spec in my GT3 in that I wanted to keep the car at just under $200,000 and that meant leaving off options I could have added on a 2022 or even 2023 model. So I suspect a lot of the 2024 cars will have fewer options to offset the increase in the base price by Porsche which could make the 2024 cars less desirable and have their valued lower in the GT3 market. If you spec a 2024 car the same as a 2022 car your msrp will be much higher than a 2022 car does this result in the 2024 buyer taking it in the shorts on resale as his car will be priced against the 2022?

I fully agree with price analysis. The prices will settle around msrp eventually or slightly below depending on miles.

Really happy for you to getting this car! Also sad that you might not do any more price trend updates.

Thank you!! I’ll probably do more price trends on the car and maybe include previous generation RS cars too cause I’m still in love with the GT2RS and hoping that price will eventually come back to earth. Thank you for your comment and for watching my videos.

I also sold my GT4 - and I agree on the pdk for GT cars. A super high tech car deserves a high tech trans.

My goal is to also pick up a G-body or a 964 with a manual so I can still get the driver engagement of a p-car but leave the serious driving to the PDK GT car :)

Your video’s are very informative, I’m new to the GT3 market and want to buy one to drive and enjoy with my son (no track) I’ve found some 992’s 2022 for 255-75k and I’m just wondering if I get one for around that, will it loose 70-100k in the next few years. Not sure I understand when I look at 996,997,991…..1 and .2’s. None are near MSRP and haven’t been for a long time. Anyway that’s my rudimentary analysis lol 😂 Anyway you mentioned a place to look a buying one? What was the place to look? Thank you in advance

@@AverageCarGuy found a nice spec with 560miles at Wichita Porsche and want to get it. 2022 265k…probably 205 MSRP but as your video shows would be 235k MSRP 2023 spec…

@@denalimedical3682 asking prices are just a suggestion. I would definitely let them know you’re a serious buyer but make an offer you’re comfortable with. Most listing are willing to come down around $20k from listing price. Make sure you check the cars history well. What spec are you after?
@denalimedical3682 Жыл бұрын
It’s a 2023, just found out and it’s at the Porsche dealership, does that make any difference? I think we meaning my son and I are looking for something in greys or white, touring or non. Pdk, that will resale well here in Salt Lake City.

I think the leveling off of prices is definitely because of the increase in RRP, GT cars here in Aus have been increased 3 times in the last 12 months!

Very happy for you my friend and thanks for in depth pricing analysis. I have a 2022 Cayman GTS 4.0 and love it, but Im thinking of trading her in for an excellently spec'd 992 4S in Shark Blue at my dealer with about 5500 miles on her. I totally get your decision to make that change and really like yout GT3 spec I asked about getting a 992 GTS allocation, 5k ADM, 6-12 month delivery date. Cheers

When the prices fall - too much - Porsche will likely cancel the GT3 until the 2025 992.2

Why burden this high tech sports car with a 1960’s technology transmission. And I also was not a fan of my 2022 GT3.,
