There is nothing better, than British car blokes testing a beast like this. They got the passion and excitement. And I am saying this as a german. Likewise, I cannot imaging any possible way of doing a better proper sports car, than the GT3 Touring. If I had the cash, it would be mine immediately. As my only car and daily driver. Manual, no wing and an engine forged in the 9th circle of hell. My car. Unluckily, I don't have the cash :/

Glad to see you guys having some more fun! About the future turbo only engines, I believe turbo's are obsolete but they just don't know it yet. When I read about the new Kawasaki H2 & H2 R engines' new spin on internally supercharger system, honestly I think the turbo's are done, because you don't get the heat soak or require the extra weight of inter-cooling equipment. Best of all you get even better sound, unlike turbo's. It really pays to own Turbine companies with R&D engineering departments you can borrow from...not sure when pending patents run out though.

Of course the R will be a bit different from the T since it is based on the 3RS instead of the 'regular' 3, but I'm not sure if the difference is as big as the price gap is. Isn't the 997 GT2RS about the same price as a 911R? Might be a more interesting purchase. Also, great video guys!

This car has really grown on me, initially I wasn't sure about the lack of a rear wing, but now I get it , it looks more subtle and especially purposeful in black , " Iron fist in a velvet glove " is the way i would describe it. I live 2 miles up the road from Porsche Leeds and always on the look out everyday for one of these, ive never seen one around here , they have a 918 and all manner of air cooled collectibles in the showroom , but no GT3 touring !!! . You definately didn't hold back their Damian some proper hoonage their sir. 👍 👏 👏

You can rev it past 4k. Pdk pull both pedals and rev, manual, have it in park, no foot brake, neutral and rev it (i think). I know that in the pdk it's as above, manual i guess it should be possible too

GT3 Touring is epic ... 95 to 105% of the 911R at 50% the cost ... drop 35 lbs with lithium battery and at Dundon MOTORSPORTS Street headers and intake lose 35 more lbs and at 53 lbs torque mid range and 31hp at top end ... best pure road available today

Lovely Damian. The 911 is one car that I appreciate more and more the older I get. Never a fan of the Cabs' as to me alot of the appeal is the classic dome back shape - which the Touring enhances even more than the 'standard' GT3 sans wing. Love it! The 991 gen onwards cars are superb (especially NA!)
