Milton’s interior is so luxurious! I guess I’m used to simple black interiors.

Love the videos! I have an Audi S6, but hoping to get a porsche 991 as a weekend car. Really nice to get your perspective. I also agree with you on the RS6... Monster i would love to have.
@Joe_Hutchinson4 жыл бұрын
Are you happy with the S6? I like that car. If you get a 991, I think you will enjoy it. The RS6 is a great package: Performance, beautiful looks, utility, it's great.
@shannonfreeman87114 жыл бұрын
@@Joe_Hutchinson I absolutely love the S6. It is a 2017 i have 44k on it and dynamic mode still puts a smile on my face. Car has also been extremely reliable which i was orginally concerned about. Don't see myself getting rid of this car anytime soon.

Enjoying the vid Joe, no mention of the double tap on gas pedal in PDK to instantly drop gears in auto mode. Takes a while to get used to but very useful for a junction, slip road or roundabout entry! Enjoy Jungle

Sport+ and paddle shifting is one of the best experiences of my life. You have to shift it yourself. You always hear "let the computer do it." Nope. Sports steering wheel + paddles = heaven

Joe, as good as that PDK is, I would, for a sports car that I use primarily on weekends and the occasional track day, choose a manual every single time. I think that, along with NA engines is a large reasons the older Porsches are in such demand.

I have more videos coming in this series, so I don’t want to give anything away, but it is safe to say that manuals are certainly a lot of fun.

Great video you two! Joe, I just installed an "Agency Power Cup Shifter" in my pdk 991.1 and it's awesome. It's 3" taller so in manual mode it puts the shifter right next to your hand so if you are feeling the need to shift it's a lot of fun. It's on the Vivid Racing website. Love those back roads with the beautiful green grass and trees...perfection 👊☀️

Thanks for the info! I'll check out that shifter. Yes, Milton showed me some great roads out there. Beautiful country roads.

Joe. Your love for your your car is so deep it appears like you just picked it up from the dealer. Sign that the GTS is THE 911 to get.

Great video Joe, I must make one recommendation if you don't mind? You need a Blend mount and a mirror tap for your radar detector. Cleans it up nicely without all the cable and wires. :)
@Joe_Hutchinson4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is on my to do list! Great suggestion. Those dangling wires are annoying.

I stumbled on your channel while doing research on the Porsche 911's. I have been a big fan of Corvettes and BMW's and have owned various models of each and I must say that each car scratched a different itch for me. Where the precision of German engineering in the Audi, BMW and even VW cars that I've owned was amazing, they didn't do the same things that the Corvette ownership experience accomplished. That's not to imply anything negative by any means, it's just a different itch altogether. I've always been curious about the 911's. Is it possible that there is a car that would scratch all my itches and could I afford to own such a car? Thank you for sharing your experiences with your car, you have definitely answered a few questions about the 911 experience for me and hopefully your videos will help me find the right 911 for me. Hopefully it will be the perfect combination of performance and reliability measured in smiles per gallon! Keep posting great quality content! You've earned a new subscriber!

I am so glad to hear that the discussion was helpful. I have not driven a Corvette so I can't compare but I have heard great things about them. There is nothing like the sound of a V8. Amazing! I am very happy with my 911 as it offers driving precision and fun combined with quality materials, fit and finish. You can autocross the car or carve up a curvy back road as well as do a 400 mile road trip with your wife. I continue to be happy with the 911. Thanks for subscribing! I look forward to warmer weather, less snow, so I can do more videos with my 911!

Outstanding video sir. Just what I was looking for. Trying to choose between PDK or manual right now for my 2021 GT4.
@Joe_Hutchinson4 жыл бұрын
It is totally personal preference. Both are great. It really depends on how much you desire the constant engagement that a manual can give you. On the other hand, PDK gives you the quickest shifts and therefore fastest times. But most people aren't on the track all the time. So it really is a personal thing. I am curious what you decide to do. Let me know which way you go: manual or PDK.

Either one is phenomenal. Have you ever pined for a Targa?
@Joe_Hutchinson4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. Targas look great. I like the GTS Targa a lot. And they did a great job with the design of the 991 Targa. However, I like the classic silhouette of the 911 hardtop coupe, the swooping roof back to the rear, so that's why I went for that body style.

Great video Joe ! I hear that the PDK computer is brilliant but is the shifting very different when it adapts in and out of highways and backroads ?
@Joe_Hutchinson4 жыл бұрын
In automatic, and normal mode, the transmission tries to get to 7th as quickly as possible to just cruise. In automatic and Sport, it also goes up to 7th but allows more revs before the change up. In automatic Sport Plus, it takes the engine to redline as much as possible, no matter how slow or fast you are going. Knowing those characteristics, I would say that it is pretty smart within the parameters of these modes. For example, if I am cruising in 7th gear in normal, automatic, and I want to pass someone, I just mash the pedal and it kicks down several gears pretty well and quickly. So it does respond and adapt quickly, even in normal mode.
