As always, instructive detailed comments. My pick in this trio would be the cabriolet which I find gorgeous. I know well the value (I’m not referring to any price consideration) of the GTS, owning its successor presently. Great car to drive, possibly needlessly powerful if you’re sticking to open roads. Anyway, what your video shows is that there is a 911 for all preferences and budgets if your can access this category of cars. 👌😎

Great video Lee, thank you. I’ve just changed from a 2007 997 Turbo Cab with PCCB to a 2016 991.2 Cab S, with steel brakes. What a difference, it’s the only part of my old car I really miss!!

Absolutely, there is the base model Carrera all the way up to hard core track in the GT3RS. Something to suit everyone. All on the base design, incredible engineering really! Like what you did there, 9:19 vlog! Nice one Lee.

Of the three cars I think the Targa for me as I could swop out my 997 4s and Boxster 986 3.2, however that 997.2 GT3 looks really good.

The 991.1 is really one of the best looking 911s to my eye. Is there any way to get a 6 speed on a 2S or GTS? Anyone ever try and swap one over, perhaps off a 997.2 or something like that? I have just heard that that 7 speed box is a bit clumsy. Also, because the power steering is electric, is there a software fix or anything like that to give it better weight, speed, and feel, like the newer electric steering from the .2 or 992 generations? I think you fix those things and you have yourself one of the best 911 generations, the end of the NA engines.

Hi Lee, just to say I came across your channel only a couple of weeks ago. Loving your content which is reigniting my interest in 911s. I've been driving for 44 years but sadly never driven a Porsche :( Never felt it fitted my lifestyle but surely changed my mind now! Keep up the great work. BTW, know that area around Shrewsbury well as used to live there but didn't know about Lakeside! I shall keep them in mind.
