Looks good, nice touch. Good effort on the mileage, I have only done 11k miles since June 23 in mine 😂

I’m currently running Ohlins R&T and they are a bit of a handful on the road, something like this would work well for its usage, it rarely sees track work due to its value, I’d rather chuck my s2000 around for that. Will take a look at Nitrons when I get her out of the bubble come spring

I loved my 996.1 GT3 Club Sport with a Manthey K400 upgrade. Best car I've owned by far. They've gone up a bit in value in recent years but still good value.

This is really informative, my daily is a Carrera 4 997.2 in my opinion the perfect balance for a daily. Your reviews and recommendations are really helping my lite next step modifications. Great work Lee.

Can you feature the 997 GT2 please. Seems the Porsche world go crazy for GT3’s (of all eras) but very little chatter on the GT2, which looks the better car by far.

How would you compare the Sharkwerks Tractive suspension you drove to this Nitron setup?
@brianhimmelman4205 сағат бұрын
great video … all mods 997 are fascinating taking them to next level or road feel and engagement
@warrenlucier57965 сағат бұрын
Like both of the 997 gen 1 & 2 and with the soft setting for road use PASM, hard setting for track. The standard suspension works well for street use and is midpoint between PASM soft/hard settings. Good to hear the Nitron have better control over the factory PASM. There is a vendor that offers an adjustable controller (DCS?) just for the problem on the hard setting which you spoke on. I spoke with several owners that had PASM and decided to go with the standard suspension when I ordered my Cayman S back in 2010.

I took my 987.1 in to Weissach for a major service and they basically didn’t do half of the jobs I was charged for! Air filter - not changed. Spark plugs - not changed. All confirmed by later inspection by independant PPI. Wouldn’t use them again.

Must be a Porsche thing, often find myself nipping out for a bottle of milk, then hours later I find myself blasting along a country road and forgetting all about the milk 🤷♂

Hi Lee , great video as always and very interesting. I was undecided on a 997.2 GT3 or 991.2 GT3 CS Manual , went with the latter and still unsure if I should have gone 997 , which you're not helping with lol . Any chance of your thoughts on compating those two would be greatly appreciated . Thanks Mark .

What mod would help make less twitchy ? for a more progressive oversteer vs the scary snap ?
@markwillis70147 сағат бұрын
Another great review Lee and sounds like a great solution to our appalling roads. Is it the intention of the guys at Weissach UK to sell this set up as a complete kit for 997.1GT3, or is it a far more personal preference mix and match type set up. Also is this a similar modification to that on the 996.2GT3 at Harbour Cars?

I daily a manual 992 T, highs would be interior, standard seats so comfy, mega seating position, great visibility, it’s such a lovely place to be, great steering, mega compliant suspension and although it takes a beating it’s very efficient Lows, rear end looks bulbous, 7 speed manual can be clunky coming down the box, would prefer analogue gauges and really miss my pop out cup holder from the 991 Overall its a very easy car to live with and it must be pretty as I always nose at it through the window and turn back to look at it as I walk away, as long as it’s not the back square on 😂 I went GT Silver, Sports Classic style wheels that are so easy to clean, manual, lightweight glass, NO rear wheel steer (absolutely do not need it) Bose stereo, NO stickers or badges and few nice subtle interior touches

997.1GT3 was my first GT3 and it was my daily, literally, took it everywhere! 993turbo was my sunday car. Intentionally got a .1 as well so that I could have 2 sets of rims to change myself; track rims with inters and road with 4S's. Perfect fun car.

once and for all. The sport bottom does not increase the throttle responce on the 997 GT3 it only changes the TC settings and opens the Sport exhaust"

What a fantastic video Lee - love Tom’s car too, especially stunning with that PPF finish. The deep front chin has always been one of my primary concerns with .1 and notoriously expensive to fix on .2. This could be ideal solution 👍

I’m not si such about the 996.2 not being a GT car, I do on average of 10k kms around Europe every year, the issue is U.K. roads, not 996.2 GT3 ride quality….

What a great video, brought back so many memories of driving my now gone Viper Green 991.1 RS on all of those roads I’ve also done them in my now gone viper Green 997.1 RS and as good as the 991 was the 997 was way more fun I sold both and went to the dark side with a 458 Speciale, I do however miss my old Viper Green duo 💚💚

Your reviews are very articulate and with a plethora of important information and key facts, which will help prospective buyers a great deal. Well done, mate. Although I'm biased, I still think the 997 is the best looking 911 ever made. They got the dimensions and styling absolutely perfect.

Yeah it wasn't really about getting loads of power out of the car, it was more a test to see what the products add. I'm really happy with 300hp in a 1300kg road car.
