Beautiful! I probably should do my 88 but I think it’s beyond abilities.

Looks great! Once I have your parts list I'll probably start the painful purchasing process to get this project rolling. Hoping to attend a few more car events this October before the teardown begins. Not sure if it was the best decision, but I bought a spare intake manifold and valve covers off a Rennlister who had an 88 as well. The original coating on the replacement parts is still in much better condition than my flaking pieces (mild Canadian temps helped I guess). I'm going to try installing those original replacements rather than doing a full refurb on my existing parts. I'll still have them as spares if I decide to go for a powder coating job in the future.

I recommend doing it once, do it right and just re-finish your intake versus installing a used in better condition one from another car, or refinish and rebuild the spare intake to minimize the downtime on your car. Where do you in Canada?

@@slownrusty Sorry, didn't explain that well. The spare parts came off a Canadian car, I'm located in Missouri.

Great video Rusty as usual. Would you mind telling me where you purchased the carbon fiber stabilizer support bar? Seen this just a day to late. Just sent my LH to 928sRus to check for me and if necessary repair. Never thought to unplug the harness and reinsert. My no start was the same as yours. Runs on starter fluid. Hope mine is simple! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I appreciate it!! Roger will be able to fix you up on the LH. I might be on borrowed time with mine, but will keep my eye on it. From my research and discussing with owners \ vendors, '87 and '88 are notorious for failing. I purchased the carbon strut brace from the UK, it was delivered relatively quickly. I bought it from: porshop.co.uk/porsche-performance-parts/porsche-928-performance-parts-1977-to-1995/porsche-928-suspension-chassis-upgrades-1977-to-1995/porsche-928-carbon-fiber-engine-strut-brace-for-s-s2-s4-gt-gts-1977-1995-styling.html

@@slownrusty Thanks for the info on the brace. Roger has been a huge help with the diagnosis. And always available. I’ll keep you posted. FYI, mine is a MY90. Take care.
