The chip has a U-shaped cutout at one end to indicate orientation, and the board has a matching indication. That is standard for showing which way to mount it.

I didn’t learn that until I had already damaged the first one. Expensive lesson but now it’s information I’ll never forget! 😂

Just for complete info, the MAF kit is made by Rogue Tuning, and Lindsey Racing is a reseller. I did the MAF conversion on my rebuilt and upgraded engine, I got 152 whp but AF ratios were all off. We switched back to the stock AFM and did a custom tune…181 whp. The tune and dyno was done by John Behee of Behee’s house of horse power in Maryland. I have many other modifications though, primary reason of AF ratio issues.

Thanks for sharing, I thought rogue had been long gone for some time so I didn’t know this!

I’m also curious as to what some of your other modifications are? Did you guys try different FQS settings?

@@TakeFlightGarage I’ve been meaning to make my own video…hopefully coming soon, and i didn’t want to high jack yours too much but I do want people to know about the MAF setup. Everyone said you can’t make power from these engines. For the money, probably not the best bang for your buck but an increase from 120ish whp to 181 is not a big number but it’s a big percentage increase. It’s around 200-210 crank hp, about BRZ power, with better torque. I have higher compression pistons, cam, honed intake, AC delete, power steering delete, crank pulley, Lindsey level I ported and polished head with LR racing beehive springs, Molnar rods and new piston rings, (full engine rebuild). A header and exhaust (currently no cat). Everything by itself has very little gains but if you increase air flow from start to finish, you can get good results collectively.

@@TakeFlightGarage I don’t believe so, but it’s a custom tune for all my modifications.

@@77magnuss Definitely need to see a video of your car! I’m of the same camp it’s possible to wake up the 8v NA up quite a bit. I alluded to your comment in a quick follow up video!

Cool! I hope you get a chance to dyno the car to see how much HP you picked up. Can you add a close up picture of where you tied into the fuse location and give an explanation of the wire end that goes into the board.

Yes absolutely I’ll post a clip of that today, I had a segment on that and forgot to add it in editing thank you for pointing that out!

What are you doing with the old eprom?
@TakeFlightGarage3 ай бұрын
The focus eeprom I have safely packed in a box that I’ll keep with my receipts and documents. After all should something happen to the MAF I can swap it back in along with the AFM and still have a running car in an emergency situation. For the Lindsey eprom I damaged I’m gonna frame it because it looks cool lol. Funny reminder of my $230 screwup 😂
