Sweet ride love that Porsche ripping thru the black forest....nice plates euro plates so much better looking on a 944 than US plates. Clean engine bay wish all classic Porsche owners would take as good of care of their engine bays as you do

The rear bumper and slotted valance is stock, It only came with the euro cars. US cars have the big front/rear crash bars. The Turbo rear valance is also pretty common on these.

I've already picked out the Lloyd mats (smoke with wine block 944 scripting) and stereo with slimline woofer for under passenger seat. My buddy is coming in town soon to do the Belts. And the tire selection is not the best. Too bad because they are brand new. I'll see if I can get my guy at the tire center to cut me a deal if he takes them in. Our race car (the grey/orange one) runs stock downpipe and silencer with the Dansk muffler. Sounds really good, but I think the silencer from 1982 is a bit tired...

Hey @CarsonmyMind, which model Dansk is that? Looks like they have a few options: 944-111-041-03 or 944-111-083-01? And, do you have any info on the midpipe and lightweight flywheel you installed?? Thanks!

I don't remember the model number of the exhaust, but it's the "Sport" version of the dansk. The midpipe is just generic simons mid silencer to keep the drone down. The clutch and flywheel is a Spec stage "something"... Wouldn't recommend it for a stock 944 NA. Hard to engage clutch on hills and i think it looses some of the torque in the lower mid range compared to the other 944's we have.

Anybody know what that light ticking in the engine is? Mine has it and I just wanna know if it's a lifter, injector, or what else

Injectors are the sound of the light ticking. If the car has been sitting for some months/years the hydraulic lifters will tick pretty loud during start-up. Just run the engine warm and the sound will go away. The sound you hear at 1:10 is a bad torque tube bearing.

Late answer, but it is a 2.5L NA, 8 valve , 4 cylinder Porsche developed engine. Basically half the engine of the 928 V8. it's producing 163hp at the crank and around 134 at the wheels.

It's a cool and fun car. Do what you prefer with the sound. If you want it super quiet, then put a proper silencer and muffler on it. It's not a V8 or anything fancy, but it has a recognizable sound. Sounds better from the inside while driving than the outside.
