I almost died 3 times in my 964 Turbo back in the mid-late nineties! Absolutely Loved it. Sold it a year later and it’s still on the roads today after I checked and still has my my private number plate on.

Overfilling with oil causes it to be sucked into the intake and resting down at the turbo side. Very common. This causes smoke. Try to have the level oil tank level low so this doesn't happen.

Seems like Northway Porsche is the way to go for Porsches! Love to see the Porsches on your channel, they're all proper dream cars, and good to see that your Porsche is going to be fixed. By the way, when is your GT3RS coming?

Couldn't agree more, Northway Porsche are amazing. GT3RS has landed and reveal coming to the channel very soon 😎

Is that era turbo called a 965, from my poor memory?
@ruaraidhmcdonald-walker95248 ай бұрын
That was the 3.6
@rajsangha9118 ай бұрын
The "965" was the model designation of a 964 based car that never saw the light of day, but is often used to refer to the 964 turbo

You keep referring to this as a 964 Turbo!!…… its isn’t. The Turbo derivative is correctly coded as a 965. Best get the facts right, before you confuse everyone by referring to it as the ‘964 turbo’ !! All 964’s are normally aspirated, not forced induction. Your car is a 965 ! 🙏

It all means the same thing - depending on what manufacturer material you look at, the car is either called the 911 Turbo (no 3.3 designation), the 911 Turbo 3.6 (for the 93-94 cars), 911 Carrera 2 Turbo (mainly US markets) or 964 Turbo / 964 Turbo 3.6. That *all* mean the same thing. Most literature refers to 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo 3.6 for the 1991 through to 1994 cars. Technical literature often uses 964 Turbo (3.3) and 964 Turbo 3.6. 965 is not used any where near as much, but *most* people know what you mean when you use it.
