This is my first actual wash of my new .2 GT3 RS. I've had it a little over a month now and I've been driving it quite a bit. For this wash and talk I wanna go over what my plans are for the car and long-term projects I'll be doing.

I would be interested in seeing this car corrected specifically to see your approach to polishing on PPF. I know you say treat it like normal but I bet a few fine points would still be observable. Good to see the new GT3!

I kinda like the idea of a wash mitt over one of the microfiber wash pads, idk why but it helps me get into the edges of the car a little better and I tend to drop the pad all the time lol.

It's just a 50' pressure washer hose run through a 3" PVC conduit.

Try Optimum's TAR (tire adhesive and Rubber) remover. it does wonders on stripping tires. Follow up with PowerClean un-dilluted.

Matt, register your car at your local dealership and you should get the carbon steering wheel cover as a part of the Weisach Package. Don’t know about the hood but the steering wheel is definitely something they will give you when it comes in. Several cars here in Atlanta recently got them seems like they are hitting GT2 guys first.

Soap dots? Paint dots. Balance mark. Balance machines are making not needed as they determine best location for tire on wheel. Covered in your prior video.

Put some Sonax Spray and Seal or Gyeon Wetcoat on them wheels. Like coating but no polishing to remove it

They are pretty much the same as stock, so I'd keep stock over spending $12,000 on those.

I've been to their facility a couple times and I'm always amazed how much of a difference there is between companies that actually care. The attention to detail of the facility is top. Their employees and customer service are great. Let me know if you ever go check it out in PA. Would love to meet sometime, but I'm an east coast OG fan.

Don’t do vossen wheels on the RS. We have a lava .2 RS here in Charlotte and it’s got vossen wheels, I believe the ones your were talking about, on it. It looks like a donk. Doesn’t look good at all. I would go for a BBS wheel. They look real good on the RS.

Cool video, doing up an exhaust header and 93 octane tune up fuel pump and 1000 + cc injectors along with the Supercharger scroll type on the FRS e 85 a little later. Have you considered e85 on that bad boy gt3 of yours? Why or why not?

Never thought to ask until now. How is the rolling resistance on the casters on your bucket cart? My driveway is on a slope and i don't want my buckets rolling away.

They will roll down a slope. I only use the dolly for my wheel bucket, but two of the wheels can be locked, so I usually just lock one and it doesn't roll.

Check out some of the older wash videos. Matt's buckets used to roll away every video when he was doing the driver's side rear quarter panel. I assume they still roll away, but it doesn't make it into the edit.

You can set the brakes. Each dolly had 2 brakes. You can leave them on and just drag them around.

My new 2019 Cayenne is getting the entire front PPF with SunTek. What's your suggestion of protection over the PPF? Ceramic coating or just a sealer?

I would coat it. I usually use Gtechniq CSL. I'm interested in applying Halo that is designed specifically for PPF.

Willing to bet in a few months time you stop with the brake buster in foam cannon. Btw, do you see how much of the wheel you're not hitting? Impossible to control a foam cannon with degree of precision required for this application

@@jenduhaime for sure. plus Adam's rubber always leaves the brush clean. Did you notice that Matt's brush is black? Always happens to me when I use d143. I suppose it's because Adam's is a degreaser when these wheel + tire combos are something else.

What are you foaming on the wheels? Is that a dedicated wheel cleaning foam? I was thinking of buying a second foam cannon just to use for the wheels. Seems smarter to do instead of just applying iron remover and scrubbing with a wheel cleaner brush and soap bucket

Clark Kastory obviously the standard steps are required but you get way more lubrications with foaming the wheels instead of a bucket with soap. What brand is the wheel cleaner/foam he’s using on the wheels?

Antony V he is using brake buster. I cant remember if he said it’s diluted or not. You can pick it up in his store. I have been using it for a while now and it’s great.

Detailed the GT350 today... 3,300 miles and my wheels are literally destroyed with brake dust. Not sure anything is going to clean them...tried the Xtreme green stuff... agitated the heck out of all four... no luck... might be time for repaint... or replace😞

Are you running the factory Brembo pads? I've got a 350 as well. The brake dust is atrocious but we may just have to live with it unless you want to shell out some dough for carbon ceramics. I've also heard of some decent pads that are a little better for dust but haven't tried them.

Seems a bit unfair to suggest none of them know what they’re doing. There’s pretty decent evidence out there that there’s some decent engineering going on...Dundon aren’t the only ones who know how to make an exhaust, and Manthey wouldn’t be installing one of those brands you mentioned if they were just ‘welded shiny pipes’

Obviously you're not short on money, but why not just have those wheels redone all black rather than dump a bunch of money into wheels? I think lizard green calipers would be pretty bad ass. There's a black .2 gt3rs for sale near me done up like that. If I could swing $200k for a car, I'd be in that tomorrow! I've heard that CSL doesn't play well with STEK film (by the way I have my 911 wrapped in STEK and its amazing for a wrap). Would be great to get your real world perspective if they can work together.

Why not just powdercoat those stock in satin black? Vossen, on a top of the line gt3 is going way backwards lol. Fast food employees with stanced kia optimum on Chinese coilovers are the usual customers of vossen.
