I rarely leave comments, but I really just wanted to express my thanks to you for making this video, after tirelessly chasing down an evap issue, I had the exact same problem as you described. Got everything finally sorted out yesterday, and this nightmare is finally over. Thanks for taking the time to share you’re professionalism and expertise!

Thx so much... even with alldata it did nothing to tell me about the evap system using vacuum. Saved me so much time this afternoon. Found my leak almost exact same problem!

Thanks for this very helpful video. I had a check engine light after replacing the starter in my 2008 Cayenne GTS. The scan code came up as P0455. Sure enough the EVAP system was fine - I had missed connecting a small vacuum hose at the back of the intake.

I have to give kudos on this video. Been a master tech and trainer for a long time. . This was a fantastic tutorial on trouble shooting in general and even more so with this model.. I was wondering why they thought it was necessary for a vacuum pump, diesel yes but gas without a high lift cam? But now it makes sence.

2016 cayenne turbo with P0455. It was the vent purge valve . Had shop diagnose and part was only $117 at Autohauz

Mine was also smoking from this area… my elbows were oily and easily slip on and off. So annoying how crappy these parts are.

Same issue. I knocked off the hoses on the back of the intake like an idiot while doing a repair on a coolant line. And now just driving and driving hoping to get this check engine light off but at least the car is running much smoother now. Before it was running a bit rough when idle at under 1k rpms.

Got the check engine light off but it came back again. Unfortunately the Panamera is not exactly like the Cayenne so I'm beside myself. Gonna change the gas tank cap next. Pump is not accessible in the rear, no idea where.

Mine is the 2014 Cayenne S. got CEL on with no error code at all, but still I have to 'clear' DTE code to make the CEL light OFF. It happens every time I fuel gas, the CEL on and message says check the gas cap. I think my issue is exactly what you described with that vacuum line leak at the rear of intake manifold. I did a job to replace the coolant vent line before this CEL issue popped up, and I recall that vacuum line to that value makes install the intake manifold very difficult, and I tried multiple times to install manifold while keep the vacuum line connected. I thought I did a clean job, guess it's not , that explains why the CEL on issue right after I've done my DIY job.

2012 Porsche Cayenne S P0456 - I have replaced gas cap, but the SEL fault code returns after a couple hundreds of miles. Some forum suggested it could be the vapor canister purge solenoid line. I wonder how to go about diagnosing this issue myself. Do I need to do the smoke test from the LDP as shown in your video? Any suggestion?

Great video this is wanted to see I have a issue with the leak detection pump that I may think it the problem because i have a code 4055 can that code give me that problem also 4056 isit the same because I have because I have change the purge valve canister solenoid that goes in the front and I still was getting a check engine light with a 4055 so my next step is to check the rear for what you showed us perfect video I've been looking for this I'll give you 3 thumbs up every time I fill the tank with a half a tank I have a loose cap on my dash but when I fill it to a quarter I won't have that problem so I'm thinking it's something in the rear by the gas cap because I changed the gas cap twice a new one from the auto part and another one from the dealer and kept on giving me that code after I even changed the purge valve canister solenoid can you tell me if the same code will give me that Leak detection pump issue 😅 thank you very much can you respond back to me and let me know have a great day can the ldp cause a 4055 code Porsche Panamera 2010 Ty

I think I got hosed!! passing thru Yuma Az, pun intended and what is the price for the small hoses you fixed and if there is other vacuum leaks? (idk) that might be more expensive? Maybe like national average? Very nice work really thorough and well done video too. Thank you. Also can a vacuum leak cause the brake pedal to go to the floor like master cylinder feeling? Hard to get in gear, I don't know the error codes I had but I have a sick upset feeling now after getting hosed for 3k oh it was missing replaced only three spark plugs, idk why only three if your changing plugs I would have replaced them all. Then after a couple miles the engine lights came back on, yes two lights, but it wasn't flashing so I guess thats an improvement. (unhappy face).

We have a 2014 Cayenne S with an EVAP leak code. Is the access points to smoke the system also under the right rear well area still? I replaced the O-ring on the gas cap and the light stayed off for almost a week and then came back on. Previously the light was coming back on within 30 minutes.

I just looked up your car on the Porsche parts diagram. It is slightly different than what is in this video. But it's all similar. I would start by taking the right rear apart.
@gadgetdealz Жыл бұрын
I just purchased an 08 GTS with 133k in eceptional condition inside and out. But it would start and idle great, but was a slug off the line, and did not downshift shift correctly, plus it seemed down on power as well as smelling like fuel when you started it. Previos owner just had fuel pump and air pump replaced at porsche for over 3k. I pulled the manafold and found the vacuum lines had fallen out of those elbows. All of them were in bad shape and lose. You would think a Porsche tech would replace them when they were past due??? Those POS porsche elbows were so lose that the vacuum lines fell out of the solenoid when I touched it lightly. They definitly do not stand up to oil and heat. So I used a thick wall oil resistant hose in the correct diameter and removed all 3 of those elbows. Now the car runs like a scalded dog, shifts as one would expect and it will probably go a lot longer without needing to worry about those elbows turning to mush due to oil and heat. Thanks for the detailed overview as I probably would not have found this issue as fast if it was not for your videos. I have subscribed, keep up the good work. Any S600 V12 content???
