I finally put a Porsche in the driveway for a month with the Porsche Drive program. The subscription service lets you sample a Porsche of your choosing. I talk about my experience, and pros and cons.

Would love to get your feedback on this Subscription experience as well as the car itself after 30 days with it. Did this lead to buying the 911?

I think the program is a great way to get extended seat time if you are on the fence. But expect to wait around all day for delivery, and every time, they've continued billing my card, which required additional phone calls to sort. The 718 was a LOT of fun. The moment I got into a 911, I knew that was what I wanted.

You have to apply, and your credit card is billed.

The Porsche experience really is with a naturally aspirated flat 6, not their turbo 4 cylinder engines. Try one in manual with a flat 6 engine in it instead of the base model and you really will be in bliss.

No doubt. I drove a 911 and that was magical. Unfortunately, I've got an injury that makes a clutch difficult. So, I'll have to enjoy the PDKs. Thanks for watching.

I have a 718 GTS and would like to just get 2-3 days with a 911 Carrera 4S for testing and possible purchase if it handles okay in winter conditions. Will they negotiate shorter lease times?

Yes, they have daily rental rates.

How does the insurance work?

Insurance and maintenance are included. Download the app and you can find out if you're in the service area. Some dealers are in the program, some aren't.
