The Italian Greyhound in the wheel box looks intrigued. They have unique personalities for sure. lol My uncle had one. Cute dog! Mostly, glad to hear that nobody was hurt! Big , old trees can be dangerous.

You will never satisfy 100% of the people 100% of the time. Be true to your own wishes and you will always win. Make it 'your' car and enjoy the hell out of it! I have owned concours vehicles but my modded '68 SWB 3.2 with gearbox, suspension & brake upgrades is by far the most enjoyable. I routinely do 300 mile 'spirited' Sunday drives and then daily it during the week. You're on the right path :)

Super glad you, your family, and your 911’s are all ok. Sorry you lost trees and had property damage. You’re an amazing “can do” attitude person, so I know you’ll kick ass, rebuild, and make cool content in the process, including Orange Crush. As for that, it’s your car, your money, your talent, do what you want with it, furthermore, it will never be “original”, concourse, or numbers matching, and 911’s are like beetles in that customization to one’s taste is warranted when it’s already “outlaw-ed”. I have to worry about volcanoes. I think when you put the money, effort, and time into your car, it’s your business. Furthermore, historically, not that it matters, a car without the engine has always been the most targeted vehicle for “upgrading”. Been around, seen it, done it. Purists are a funny bunch, cleaning and maintenance of a historic piece of kit is fun and preserves history. You’re past that point from day one. Praying all you all get things straightened out on the home, town and state levels. That is a mess, hope you feel supported and successful by a most casual fan of your enterprises.

Firstly-I'm sorry to see the damage the recent storms/tornadoes have wrought throughout our beautiful midwest and NWA. I am relieved that you and your family are safe. Secondly-it just seems to be second nature to criticize that which we do not control. I've seen your work, heard your praises sung and admired your love for the Porsche mark in your cars and your running Porschpalooza. To me, YOU are the expert :) I understand the purists...and they can do whatever they want with their cars. Me, I'm going to drive them until the wheels fall off AND customize/etc them (so far as skill & $$$ allow-lol) so that when you see the car you know "hey, here comes Ian!" Keep being the standard and Obi Wan Kenobi we know you are. Maybe one day soon I can come down and push a broom in the den and glean some in person wisdom!
