A hint, if you hook up your chop vac to the outlet of the exhaust housing it makes it for a much cleaner and more pleasant porting session.

When I did exhaust systems for Allison turbines in Aegis Destroyers, they were mostly stainless steel with batting inside and a liner of perforated stainless to line over the batting. The elbows that got extra hot and were not able to take the heat being channeled around an elbow were made of inconel. Heavy metals combined to produce a superior combination of strength and heat resistance properties. Don’t ever breath it or work on it without special filtered masks etc. Den it sounds like the right upgrade from my seat.
@The911Den7 ай бұрын
Now that is very interesting regarding the incorporation of the iconel components. Thank you for the input and support!
@mainiac4pats7 ай бұрын
@@The911Den high quality stuff inconel, the best for heat and strength past regular high heat stainless which gets too brittle once you use high heat. Love your stuff Den, I am living vicariously my Porsche life watching you, thanks man.

Hi Tyler, Joe here, a fan from South Africa. Why not just make a restomod out of the 911 since it is stripped already. Upgrade the brakes, suspension, shed about 100 kilos off it and with that motor it should be an absolute hoot to drive.

That's a good suggestion and basically the direction we are going. 😃

The port & polish is very impressive. I've never heard of doing that to a turbo. Amazing! One question though...... Wouldn't it increase the distance between the impeller and the housing wall? Or does it not matter?
@The911Den7 ай бұрын
Good question! I was wondering if someone would ask that! Since the hot side was ceramic coated the polishing only removed that ceramic material and smoothed the factory finish. Same on the cold side, just a polish there. There was a decent amount of material removed through that exhaust inlet though!
@Endy5_Still_Alive7 ай бұрын
@@The911DenAh! Makes sense. I've never seen a turbo port & polished before. It's brilliant! The whole concept is so obvious I'm embarrassed I never thought of it. And that turbo in the video is gonna be so responsive & quick spooling it ain't even funny. 😂
