Finding a GTS was pretty hard for me and I didn’t want or need the 500+hp of the Turbo so I chose the next best thing, the 4S with the V8. Not as loud as the GTS, but still sounds great with all of the other benefits you mentioned. Also, I really wanted the cooled seats which practically no GTS had. The car handles like nothing else it’s size and is probably the best overall car I’ve ever owned. Great video!

First time I saw the panamera, I fell in love! Its gorgeous! Then I bought one. Its incredible. I don’t understand the “bad looks” impression some have. Opinion I guess, but we agree on everything else. Excellent video, sir.

Bought a 2013 gts yesterday. Im in love. Could have got an S but was worried the turbos would bliw having had a bad experience recently and knew that the noise was muffled with the turbos. I live in abu dhabi so fuel consumption wasnt an issue. Had to do a lit of rwsearch to dmfind thw interior and turbo wheela that i wanted. Think im in love.

I love the Panamera, I'm 2 weeks into Panamera Turbo ownership and it is absolutely amazing to drive, either at 30 mph or at motorway speeds. It's the refinement, depth of engineering, and immaculate handling that gets you, then there's the Grip; it never let's off, I've gone round roundabouts for the fun of it at 40mph and it just tucks in and goes, then there's the pdk gearbox, perfection, and don't get me started with Sport plus mode, when activated it turns the car into a ballistic missile that handles. This car makes my 730d BMW that it replaced feel like a horse and kart. Just get one, you won't be dissapointed. P.s ensure you have a Porsche warranty though 😜

Nice, and yeah this is most likely my favourite drive I've had in BnC so far. A complete turnaround on the Panamera, and I still plan to get around to owning one at some point

My pleasure. And I'm actually planning on getting one of these myself in future, albeit the Turbo version most likely.

Slight correction, the 970 panny diesel isn’t AWD. Great review though, the GTS is the sweet spot I reckon.

So now on terms of Diesel Panamera, or 640d Msport GC... hmm! My dad had a 640d SE. Awesome car. So much choice! Which one holds is money better in 5 yrs. 996 C2S or C4S, 5.0 XKR, Panamera D/S/4S..?

911’s are always a solid bet on value over time, though 996’s do remain the lowest of them. I also absolutely love the 640d, reviewed it in this same series and was one of my top 5 cars of the year

Quality review. Really enjoyed this. You can tell its a quality drive. Something is bugging me at the minute. Today on the news they said the government is looking to phase out petrol and diesel cars for electric by 2030 & by 2035 make it illegal to drive a petrol or diesel car in the uk. I know thats still a decade away but I would like your thoughts and maybe a discussion video on this later down the line. What does it mean for the majority of us? What if you (people in general) dont want give up their petrol cars?? What if you are a classic car collector or enthuisast?? What if you work with petrol or diesel cars for a living??? Sorry for the length of my comment but this really is big for me.
@HSGAutomotive4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's definitely a major point for discussion. Last I heard on the subject, it was more focused on the sale of new vehicles, rather than phasing out existing ones, but that's doubtless to come sooner or later either way.

The GTS (440 bhp) is a lot more expensive than the rest of the Panamera's yeah, around 35k currently. You can buy the S or 4S (400 bhp) for around 20k though, and even the Turbo (500 bhp) for about 25k, which is even faster than the GTS anyway.

It’s not a wagon. And yeah parts would be more expensive than an average car, but the reliability is good
