One year ago, I have bought 2014 Panamera, with 50k miles on it, for 36k$, and so far, I haven't had a single problem whatsoever. The level of comfort and luxury you get, cannot be compared with most of the cars that old, in that money range. My opinion is that this one is underestimated due high cost of maintenance and repairs, but , lets face it, every German car is like that. On the other hand, they don't break down often, and my mechanic told me that like a month before I got it, its a quality built .
@thehobbyist52923 жыл бұрын
ur right bro. all my cars r german, i own an X5 and a mercedes benz e350 and im planni g to buy a panamera nxt year. i dont understand why people keep on talking about the repair cost, thats what meachanical breakdown insurance r for. my x5 this year was serviced , they replaced the fuel injections, ignition coils, water pump, thermostat, sparkplugs. juat normal wear and tear, overall cost is arpund 5 grand, but aince i have the insurance i only paid 350$ for everything. nothing beats the performace of german cars. the build quality alone is far more better. i hate to say this but driving japanese feels like playing with a toy, doesnt matter if its the latest models. the difference r miles away.

I was a sceptic in the beginning, but now, man, I am really happy, will drive it till it runs. Few days ago, since have I paid it off, went to Carvana website just to see how much will their estimate be, for exchange, and at this moment I have 85k miles on it, they said little over 38k, which, given this market ,makes sense. I bought my 2011 Panamera S last year and stepping up to a Porsche from a VW I can tell you that you will be more than pleased with this car. Mine is black on black and looks new (38K miles)and folks do think you spent 100K. If you do consider this car make sure the recall items have been fixed along with the thermostat housing (especially the thermostat housing) as it has (2) hard lines that were epoxied into the housing and will fail and if you are doing 110 you will probably lose the engine. The car drives great and glides at 130 mph and loves to corner even at it's size. Best part is the depreciation slows down substantially around the 30K mark. There are some KZbin guys out there that will show you how to maintain it yourself making it more than affordable.

When I bought mine, an 2012 Panamera 4 with about 85k miles, after 2 months and 2k miles, Variocam break, motor dead wich was over 12.000$ invoice, then, after another 3 months, coolant sensor went out, another 1.000$, after that, maintenance, 400$ oil change, over 2.000$ for the brakes ......... So I finally decided to sell the car. And yes, its a great car, when it works it was absolutely fantastic, but im not that rich, I can't spend that money in a car.

The reason all German autobahn burners are so cheap after a few years is that you can pay for a new one for very little more than the maintenance on an old one and have all the latest bells and whistles. The only old luxury car that is more of a money pit than a German one is an Italian, or possibly a British...hard to say. Doug needs to rethink recommending this type of car to the unsuspecting. I've been looking at one of these to replace my Nissan V36. I actually think they look really good especially for their age..it looks like something from 2015-2020. I do have a Porsche Macan so I do know the tail lights are old compared to their new design, but unless youre into Porsche's most people wouldn't realise that. But as Doug said, theyre so well made. Great looking car, the V8 with exhaust mods sounds beautiful, you can swap out the steering wheel for a 971 which modernises it massively, and you can get an audio specialist to upgrade the PCM to a more modern stereo with Google Drive / Apple Car Play which gives you much improved Infotainment (had this done on the Macan).
@TrumpWinner Жыл бұрын

I’m not sure what PCM means but are you saying you can have they update the existing infotainment system in a 2012 to somehow have apple CarPlay in it?
