@@sat7755 Teslas are horribly unreliable and don´t last long, their quality is low, especially when compared to Porsche but yes, they are very safe vehicles!
@sat77554 жыл бұрын
@ HSC Delta While Porsche is definitely one of the legendary sports cars of the past, second only to Ferrari. I am glad you admitted that Tesla is the safest car on the planet, as the legal crash test have established. Another first for Tesla is also the fact that with the Roadster, it is reputed to be the fastest mass produced car on the planet, with 0 to 60 time of only 1.9 seconds for the standard model. Time to be improved by the Plaid model. while its top speed is going to be over 250 MPH or just north of 400 KPH. Another area of Tesla supremacy is its practically non existent maintenance requirement compared to those very expensive ones needed by Porsche. The theme of reliability which apparently you don't agree with comes from the simple logic that an electric motor has a single moving part only. and the entire Tesla car needs only 20% of the parts needed to build an ICE Porsche, therefore it has to be far more reliable, because of fewer parts possibility to fail. But another very reliable metric is the US Consumer Report which does not agree with your assessment either.. An area where Porsche is definitely better is the maniacal assembly of its excellent upholstery. While Tesla is way ahead in a much better pricing structure and its extremely low operating costs, a mere fraction than any Porsche.The fact as you put it, that don't last long is definitely not true in the true sense, very simply because the car is under a far less stress factor than an ICE Porsche, as well as operates under a much lower heat regimen that a Porsche therefore it implies a far longer life span. when we add to the fact of Tesla built in, inter connectivity to the mother computer, which acts on a constant basis for free in upgrading its software capabilities, therefore a Tesla never really ages in its capability, while the Porsche starts decaying from the very first day of use. Sorry I didn't mean to debunk your dream car, but it is only the first round, and time will tell if Porsche engineering prowess will be able to beat Tesla in its own game. but so far the first Porsche attempt with the Tay Can entry in to EV market, has proven a disappointment both in acceleration, top speed capability and price as compared to the top Tesla line up.But the next few years it will be a very hard battle, so let us see who is going to be the true winner in say the next 5 years.

I have a newfound appreciation for the absolute ingenuity of mankind and for this car, I will never complain about the price, and only assess whether I can afford it. Imagine if this productivity and ingenuity disappeared. What a loss to the world. The Porsche brand is simply art, the car is art, the sound it makes is art. This is simply an experience and not a travel device. This, all of it is art. If I can afford one someday, I will never look back and think I wasted my money while it depreciates, to own art produced in this fashion makes life a tad bit worthwhile.

For what they cost, the entire body should be painted before assembly and rust coating. All of it.
@katmanluke71874 жыл бұрын
Agreed, have wondered this myself. And I don't care how protective or innovative their primer/galvanized process is, when a $200k GT3 w/tire off is showing that beige primer vs red paint/undercoating etc it looks cheap & is cutting corners. For what they chg for their cars now, they can well afford the extra 1/2 gal of paint. Much cheaper cars spray the entire body. Much as I like the marque, it's just wrong. Especially considering how greedy they've gotten on pricing the last 10 years or so. Specifically in paint for instance, in 2009 I believe a custom PTS color was under $2000. It'll now set you back over $12k!

A ballet of mechanical dexterity, this is why Porsche cars cost more. The robots are spectacular in their movements. One other element comes to the fore, the employees are all dressed in a Porsche grab, an almost clinical look to the factory itself, so different from an American car factory.
