This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2021 Porsche Targa4 and the new Porsche Drive Subscription service.Thank you to Porsche Drive for lending us this 911 for the week. The Porsche 911 Targa 4 has a 3L twin turbo flat 6 with an 8 speed PDK, 379 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. It goes 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed
of 289km/h. Our test model is in Carrara white metallic with a black roof and a wide body rear. It has striking LED Matrix design headlights and 20”/21” Carrera classic wheels. The Targa 4 has a slick, folding distinctive roof that blends the coupe and the cabriolet into one. This innovative and fully automated roof system is just fantastic and very convenient. It has standard AWD so you can enjoy this 911 come rain or shine. The 911 Targa 4 starts at $138,000 CAD/$121,300 USD. As tested $165,620 CAD. Our test model has a leather interior in black and bordeaux red, which I think is just stunning. The sport seats and the finishes have a premium look and should for the price tag. The instrument cluster features the classic five-dials, but only the tachometer is analog. The other four are TFT displays. The 10.9-inch high-definition Porsche Communication Management touchscreen has improved graphics, better performance and a greater depth of colour than the outgoing model. This Targa 4 also includes, the brushed aluminum interior package, power seats, a heated sport steering wheel, ambient lighting, front heated and ventilated seats, a Bose stereo system and surround view camera system.The luggage compartment volume of the 911 models is 4.6 cubic feet of space. Thanks to the folding rear seat backrests, the rear storage compartment can be used for up to 9.3 cubic feet of extra storage space. Comfort access enables keyless entry of the 911, which is so convenient. Approach the door handle from the side and the car will unlock and the door handles will automatically extend. The 911 Targa roof concept is exceptional. The completely automatic roof system opens and closes in 19 seconds. The heatable rear windshield and composite safety glass along with the sound-insulating roof lining makes for a quiet cabin when the roof is closed. When I first purchased my 991.1 I was really didnt understand what the fuss was about, and to tell the truth thought of selling it. After 7 years of ownership I have come to really appreciate the vehicle. You are correct, you need to drive it for a while to appreciate all it can do

I didn't realize at the time, but it hit me when I saw those night photos that I saw you taking photos that night! You had JUST beat me to the spot because I wanted to take photos of my BMW X3 m40i there as well haha. There was that very very large family of Canadian Geese about to go down that ramp into the water as you were leaving. Beautiful blue hour photos and great review!

Wow! You should have said Hi! I couldn't believe how many geese were there, did you see all the babies? That was crazy. I also had to take pictures of the X5 45e that night but knew I couldn't go back there. There were just too many. I ended up going to Granville Island to take my night shots there.

There was also a dog that got too close and got chased by one of the moms haha. Great minds think alike! I actually went to Granville island the morning after to take my photos with the Burrard Bridge backdrop :) I didn't realize it was you then, but I definitely remember thinking to myself "that person must be loving life right now with that Porsche". Thanks again for all your reviews! I recently got my BMW X3 M40i so I'm set for a while, but you guys sure tempt me to want to own several vehicles. @@kent3029 I was wondering how I was going to get out as well. I was worried when I had to start up the engine because it's quite loud and I thought they would freak out, but they were pretty cool about it all. Although, I wasn't confident enough that they would be cool if I came back with the X5 45e that night. lol! The BMW X3 M40i is a terrific vehicle, you must absolutely love it. What an engine! You don't mention one thing that is a definite deal breaker for many.....the wind buffeting sound when you go over 40 mph. It's very annoying yet you don't mention it. I can't really trust reviewers who tend to focus primarily on the positives.

Man speaking here - Porsche is one my favorite cars ever, since I was 16 (1996) I have been going to the dealers just to stare and dream about owning one. What I don't like is the pricing. Here in Italy Porsche has always been a dream car - yes- but kinda normal, not like Ferraris or Lambos. A daily driver, with a bit less of prestige compared to the others... The price in Italy for the targa is north of 190.000 euros which is crazy, considered that you can buy an awesome Ferrari with less money. In the 90s the top of the line Porsche was 190.000.000 lira and Ferrari was way more, but now they are almost even... Not saying they are not worth it, but the question is: would you rather spend 200k euro for a car that you can find in any supermarket parking space, or 200k for a Ferrari or Lambo (maybe 2/3 years old)? Well, you can guess my take on it... Great channel!

Amazing review (just again as always!) please don't get me wrong but Porsche is the only german made car I would ever purchase, this might sound fishy but the fact it's entertainment consoles, and the entertainment system rather looks and feels like a British car. Porsche does not seem like a typical "german car" in terms of "shiny outlook but empty inside". This car the opposite rather a "conservative shell silhouette with a proper interior" Loving Porsche! i hope you will have the chance to drive the Taycan-e, now that car made me to stop for a second and reconsider whether I would go for Aston Martin Rape-E or the Taycan! You had me with the 993 being a beautiful car, but the 992 best since air cooled? No way! 997 is the last pure body before they got huge. Targa is a unique beast-- best of both worlds, the exception to that rule. Great videos, love to catch them each week. Keep it up!

The Spyder is always on, always working, you feel every bump in the road. Now, when it's on the highway it's amazing but in the city I didn't enjoy it as much. This Targa ticks all the boxes, it's perfect whether you are in the city in bumper to bumper traffic or on the highway.

These cars get much better mileage than the ratings. Easily well over 30mpg on steady driving on Uk gallon. I get better than that on a 991s cab.

Porsche builds great cars, just so pricey these days. 911 has become almost a touring GT, lot bigger. Every time I look at one, end up going elsewhere because of the $. They Nickel and Dime you on everything. One of the worst offenders.

Could the Audi R8 been one of the four options listed, I think that car hasn't been getting a lot of love lately. As far as the Jags go, those cars are a maintenance nightmare even while still under warranty, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole unless it was a rental.
