at high speed, there's some lovely turn in oversteer, which he was getting better at as the lap went on. But at slow speed, the front end grip turned it into understeer, and there were some corners where he approached not knowing what the car was going to do (and he almost got it wrong at least twice). So a pop up rear spoiler, and dial in a bit more understeer, and the car would behave better. It's a bit heavy too, could do with slightly firmer springs.

Amazing lap! I was wondering what data is behind the ps / nm figures? Is this just an estimate based on revs + throttle position etc. or is there an actual sensor that is able to measure that? (I assume not since this is usually done with a big machine)
@GoldenCroc4 жыл бұрын
Every modern car has a sensor that measures this. It is necessary for a lot of car functions, such as drive by wire. But most cars wont have a gauge to inform the driver, you have to tap into the cars ECU to get the information.
@Marco-vp8wl4 жыл бұрын
@@GoldenCroc Yes, probably every modern car knows this info, but they don't measure it (probably). I assume it is done with a combo of gforce / gas-position / revs etc. but I'm not shure how exactly it is done. To why it can't just be measured: You would have to build a sensor of some kind which measures the NM at some point which means all the force would have to go "through" this sensor. I assume this would be to expensive, if even possible at all, and is done as described in the paragraph above. At least that's what I would assume.
@GoldenCroc4 жыл бұрын
@@Marco-vp8wl No G-force necessary, but it is calculated by a combination of TPS input, MAP sensor input, timing and most of all injector duty cycle, if I am not mistaken. With all of this factored in, this measurement has quite good accuracy.
