The evolution of these 917 was crazy. They were almost like bush mechanics. The early 917/30 was slow in the straights and had too much drag so they just grabbed some material they had at the track and made the longer tail. Classic stuff.

Norbert Singer...ein wahres Vorbild was man im Leben alles erreichen kann wenn man will...ein genialer Mann und einer der Menschen - neben Hans Mezger - denen Porsche im Motorsport fast alles zu verdanken hat. Ich ziehe den Hut vor diesem Mann 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻....und Timo mit dem Le Mans Sieg 2017 und seiner Rekordrunde auf der Nordschleife 2018 mit dem 919 Hybrid. This should be a mandatory watch for all employees of Porsche marketing department. Then, maybe they would understand what a total disaster and disrespect to the Porsche heritage it is, to use the word Turbo on any of Porsche's EVs.

Unfortunately dumb rich people do not understand that. They see the word turbo on a car and think it is the top model. Same goes for BMW and Mercedes with their numbers that once told you about the displacement and is totally made up these days.

Hallo @Porsche, sind die Aufnahmen bei 4:35 vom Riverside International Raceway in Kalifornien? Das ist eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsrennstrecken(leider musste sie einem Einkaufszentrum weichen..) und grade die Ausfahrt aus der Kurve vor der langen, breiten Graden sieht sehr stark nach dem RIR aus. Ich würde mich sehr über eine Antwort freuen! Hello @Porsche, are the recordings at 4:35 from the Riverside International Raceway in California? it is one of my absolute favorite racetracks (unfortunately it was destroyed for a mall..) and especially the last corner before the long and multiple lane wide straight looks especially like RIR. I look forward to receiving an answer to my question.
