First Porsche was a 2015 Cayman. I will always remember that first car, with only 275 HP but that little flat 6 howled. It was an instant connection and the KCRPCA welcomed me with open arms. 11 years and 17 Porsche’s later it has played a huge part in my life, including PCA National Instructor and board member here in STL.

Welcome Stan. My Porsche passion started with watching the movie “LeMans”. I made sure I had a Gulf Porsche 917 Aurora AFX HO slot car. Shortly after that, my next door neighbor brought home a new 1972 911S Targa followed by a 1974 Carrera then 356 and finally a 1978 928. By the time the 928 arrived, I was old enough that he trusted me to drive it! That’s when I got hooked forever. The closest I got to a Porsche was my brand new 1980 Scirocco S. It wasn’t until 2022 when I finally fulfilled my aspirations and took delivery of my Cayman S. Joining PCA has been great. Love the people. You guys at National are fantastic - sincere, welcoming, and just fun to hang out with even if it’s just on the periphery. Thank you for all you do and the fun experiences you work so hard to make fun for us. 👍👍👍

My first Porsche was a 76 914 that I bought in 1979 in college. Marriage and 2 kids had me say good bye to her in 1983. Twenty-five years later I bought a 201 Boxster S and immediately googled Kansas City Porsche Club and joined pretty much right then and there. I began autocrossing shortly after that. It currently has about 175,000 miles on her Bought my wife a 97 Boxster with a Tip that she autocrosses regularly. She needs to drive it more day-to-day as it only has 85,000 on it. I've done a DE or two and we really enjoy the social engagements and the people.

Congratulations to Stan! One of KC's finest! I got involved in the club through the PCA insider podcast! I came across it on KZbin and that led me to the club website which led me to the KC PCA Saturday morning breakfasts and meeting fantastic people like Stan! I STILL don't have my first Porsche...caviar taste and a peanut butter wallet. Growing up I had a red Porsche 934 matchbox car that I adored. My dad loved all sports cars and racing and it just came naturally to love Porsche! We had a Dodge Omni that you had to drive with both feet. If you didn't keep the gas pushed a little bit when you braked it would die.

First Porsche was a 2000 Boxster that was traded in at the dealership I worked for. I went to a Mini Cooper meeting and mentioned to another member that I had purchased a Porsche. It turned out that in addition to his Cooper, he had three Porsches. He is the one who talked me into joining PCA. First event was the Parade in 2021. Second event was about a month later, the first Sports Cars Together. I met Vu at the Parade and worked with him at SCT. I was hooked.

First Porsche was a new 2016 GT4, which came in the late summer of 2015. I had turned 60 that year, and a friend Jorge Carnicero gave me a a PCA membership as a gift. Having also turned 60 that year, I celebrated PCA's 60th Anniversary, and look forward to the both of us turning 70 together this year!

I agree on the BASE models ! Shhhhhhh! 😂 Daily drive a well optioned Base 981 Cayman pdk and it’s the best damn car I’ve ever owned by a long shot! I chose the base after driving several examples in all trim levels and even some 991s. I kept going back to the base 981 cayman so I found one with good options. I put 30k miles a year on it and it just works as it should and has been an amazing car to own, daily drive, and wrench on. I’d argue Porsche gave us a bit too much “Porsche” with the base 981

I thought this episode was particularly insightful into the behind the scenes activities of the organization. And I'm curious why Michelin is still the tire technology presenter at Tech Tactics East, when Pirelli is the official tire of the Club??

Both Pirelli and Michelin, as well as Toyo and other mags, are active supporters of the Club.

Interested in hearing what the consensus is on Euro7 regulations & whether or not Porsche will continue to produce high revving naturally aspirated engines for the GT cars outside of Europe? Will the US market get their own drivetrain? GT car engines are homologated for motorsport. So consequently, if there is a hybrid GT engine in the future. Does that mean all the CUP cars will be hybrid?? What about IMSA & WEC engines? So confusing lol

I think Paul Newman was 47 when he really started racing. Mario Andretti stop competition at 54, but pro racers can remain fast a long time.
