I purchased a Mini Vac II two years ago directly from Advantage Manufacturing and it saved me from a major clean up deal when my solar pump went out and was back ordered for three weeks. The Advantage Manufacturing Mini Vac II came in super handy. Their service manager Josh Hall is super helpful and always ready to help. Best buy for me and money very well spent. I highly recommend it.

Nice looking pro setup. I don't clean pools, but your information has helped inspire my current setup for cleaning my pond.

Why not use a leaf catcher so the debris doesn't go to the pump basket and risk messing up the pump? Just wondering

Is it necessary to ratchet strap the machines to the truck? Also, if you use the swivel end of the hose on the vac head you’ll eliminate the tiny bit of air in the pump strainer pot and gain better suction. 👊🏼

In California, all vehicles traveling on public roads must have a secured load. A secured load means that nothing can shift, slide, fall, or become airborne. - that is our law at least. So I strap it. Goot tip on the hose connection! 👍

Do you feel that this slows you down compared to the riptide, When it comes to getting set up and leaving. I’m sure vacuum times are similar. They are similar in price, Which system would you purchase if you can only afford one of them. Thanks in advance.
@SPL Жыл бұрын
The systems are designed for two different regions and applications really. The Riptide is for areas with heavy leaf debris and light dirt. The PORT-A-VAC 2.0 is for areas with heavy dirt and lighter leaf debris. Riptide set up is of course much faster. Total set up and tear down time for this unit is about 5 minutes. It really is area and use dependent. Both are great companies!

Also, the Port-a-Vac can replace the main filter while waiting for parts and doing repairs. It is really a complete equipment pad on a dolly not just a vacuum. Many of our customers have both types of systems and use our T-bar hitch to put a Hammerhead or a Riptide on one side and a Port-a-Vac on the other. We even make a Hammerhead and a Bottom Feeder style Service Cart as a companion piece.

@@AdvantageManufacturingTustin Oh wow, Advantageman themselves commenting on the video. I’ve got a question for you, I noticed this guy uses a tow strap to secure his two vacs on his truck… I’m planning on buying a service cart like this from you guys to go alongside a riptide on the hitch of my honda civic… how necessary must it be for me to use a tow strap to prevent them from wobbling?
@LyannCourant Жыл бұрын
@@FiggFig There are two tie down straps on the vac and the service cart. We make a hammerhead style and a bottom feeder style cart too. Also, people can buy the Port-a-Frame alone and build their own system. Everything is available in stainless steel models as well or power from a gas engine.

I just recieved my Portavac 2.0 with hitch. Had a question. In this video it shows the hitch briefly and it looks as if the vac hitch is mounted to a conventional receiver via the big bolt that's provided with the vac hitch. Is that the case?
@SPL7 ай бұрын
Yes, Mounted to the Class III reciever. I also suggest an anti-wobble clamp.

Will the 1.5hp suck to vinyl liners?
@SPL10 ай бұрын
It depends on the vac head. I would use a cheap vac head without the seals on the bottom.

This turns a 20 min stop into a 45 min stop 😂
@SPL Жыл бұрын
It's not that bad. I would say it adds 5 minutes. But if you are struggling with poor equipment I've spend 45 minutes at a pool with a terrible pump before or really bad filter. It's not an every stop tool but handy to have. I had a client having a Wake for their grandma in the backyard and that week the pool equipment went down. Stopped by with the Portavac and vacuumed it spotless. The customer was 100% happy.

@@wwfera00 Hire a CPA for confirmation. However, just. pick a conservative tax rate.
