G'day Bill. Fantastic video of Port Arthur, spookingly beautiful, I was caught between admiration for the efforts of the prisoners who constructed the building's and the horror of the savage slaughter at the hands of Martin Bryant of all those inoccent tourists. So hard to reconsile the beauty of the surroundings, against the sufferings of the prisoners and the horror that occurred in later years. It's a struggle to get my head around that. It's the most I've struggled with any of your filming Bill, all recorded beautifully as is usual with you. So many thoughts going through my weary brain. Once again Bill, you have taken me somewhere I've never been before and I thank you for that. I hope that this makes sense. The noggan has really had a workout. Looking forward to seeing your next vlog Bill. I'll be posting this comment late at night, I don't think I will sleep too well. Take care please. Smokey

HI Smoky,the site is amazing, they have preserved so much,for future generations to learn from,it's strange but I found the warping brick walls and buildings where there waiting to tell a story.I didn't put everything I filmed in the video because it would of been a very long video,the Port Arthur Massacre was very sad,and I think what they have done there is very respectful, the walls of the Broad Arrow Cafe still remain,which I did film but decided not to include in the video. Can sense the sad, brutal and empty atmosphere of the early days, even in such a beautiful place. Very well depicted in this video that brought us back to these dark days. Looking forward your next video.Thinking of taking the Tarago up Mt. Wellington? Great views!

Hi Kris,thanks for your comment, I hope I have put in a reasonable amount of footage to show what I experienced those two days.An incredible job to keep buildings open for us to enter and look around.One of those places where you look at the old photos there and imagine the goings on and the noises of the time.Mt Wellington? I looked at the tourist brochures and thought that one radiator replacement in Tasmania is enough for the 'old Wampa'.thanks Bill.

Hi Bill I love all your videos, I did a school trip to Port Arthur but don't remember too much ( old age ha ha) so it was very interesting to see it through your eyes. Can you remember how much the entry pass is?

Hi Chris thanks for that,Port Arthur is huge and you get a 2 day pass for $38 I think.Many buildings to go into,and the staff are so helpful.take care Bill

You can understand why the entrance pass is for 2 days. I'm sure some people do the 2 days and consider that they felt rushed to see it all. So much history in one location

Hi Ade,the entire place was open to look through, I could of spent days there if I was going to read everything, but I did fill a 128 gb memory card with footage, so it shows just how much there was there.Had a steak today yum.Take care Bill.
