Home sweet home.So clean .Friendly Atmosphere, oh lord this is really PE ( Gqebhera It is so clean that one can eat from the ground.,( Keep the city clean). like PortElizabeth. lam proud to see this beautiful friendly city.

PE is a great city. The people are very friendly. Compare to Cape Town you don’t see any informal settlements in the downtown. You don’t see any drug places like in Cape Town regarding fentanyl. PE is one of the most underrated cities of South Africa. I love PE. The beaches are amazing. Just outside of PE you find kilometres of sandy beaches. Nice hotels. Nice restaurants. Plenty of activities for young kids, families and older ones. Crime is low. Great place to be 😅

Thank you for showing PE, it looks super clean👏👏👏. The city has a lot of potential but they must relocate that manganese on the hobour (it's an eyesore) to Coega and build nice tourist attractions there. Secondly, they must finish off that incomplete Pier, it will improve tourism.

PE is a strong candidate for one of the cleanest cities in the country. Having spent 14 years there and still with a property there I can vouch for it. The only problem with PE is that the massive investments that the government put in developing the infrastructure at the Coeg SEZ has not paid off at the rate everyone thought it would, otherwise PE would rival any of the other major cities by now because all of that investment would have meant a greater tax revenue for the municipality meaning greater development for the city. I do think it's a better city than Bloem though and the next best city after Pretoria.Anyway if your city did not host the world cup, it's not a serious place and PE was one of the host cities. It must tell you something about this country if we could host the football world cup 14 years ago.

That's not an incomplete pier. It is the remains of an old slipway used for launching ships.

This building at 8:01 isn't a heritage building. It was just designed to match the architecture of the old buildings.

@@WayneKitching Thanks for enlightning me, i didn't know. Since it's a old slipway, iassume it's no longer in use. So do you think it's possible for it to be developed as a Pier?

That in complete piar have been there for years and for us that grow up there it is a token of how are life is incomplete but God given . We are fast to see the things that is wrong but we do not see what we do to natural nature we build and break down are nature .

"PE is quite safe" - yeah, nah... the murder rate and crime is pretty high - like 60 homicides/100k. Go for a walk in Govan Mbeki (Main Street) or Rink Street. Cape Town is the 10th most dangerous in the World, Mandela Bay (Port Elizabeth) is 15 on some lists and 22nd on others. Durban is in the top 30 as well.

I visited there many times. It's an amazing place. I stayed at Coaga Village and was working to build soccer stadium( Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium) in 2007/2008

Most of the building are original but since 2013 or before , they were left to rot and many things new but original building there were just left to rot And there's also break ins stolen stuff and more

I am proud of my city and if you drive further along the coast you will see the most incredible beaches which are about 20 - 30 KM long. I know this because I hiked it.

I was wondering I used to live in PE in 1988 and we used to go to a hotel called the Elizebeth Sun hotel, just wondering if it is still there or has it been renamed, this hotel was across the road from the main beach.

I found out that the PE municipality spends 60 percent of its income on salaries.the balance of 40 percent is hopefully spent on maintenance. Poorly managed.
