Waterfall city tho in my opinion is a bit better than Steyn, I just think in narrows down to target audience, Waterfall's housing is more Affordable from the upper middle class areas to rich estates whilst Steyn is just for the rich, plus Waterfall is bigger with more things to do around the city than Steyn, but Steyn is new so we will see in the upcoming years
@sompisiphinda14172 жыл бұрын
@@antonioarineshito2892 Waterfall isn't bad at all. The reason why houses are less expensive there is because you don't own the land but you get it leased to you for 99 years, so basically the property is not yours. My comparison was based on the Ellipse apartments in Waterfall compared to City Centre apartments. Steyn City and Waterfall are almost replicas of each other and are closely matched, but Steyn City just edges ahead of Waterfall.

@@sompisiphinda1417 You do own the land. Only that you pay a 5% commission anytime u transfer the land from owner to owner. Not bad at all cz u technically don't need to do that for up to 99 yrs. If you are afraid u are afraid of paying that for a $1M stand for example, which works out to $50,000 @ 5%...u can place it into a fund that earns anything btn 7-10% compounding every year and u shall have no trouble at all. $50,000 is peanuts for someone with $1M

At R4.6 million for that 2 bedroom I would rather want a private garden though. I think it is a bit too much for not having a private outdoor space. It seems this is targeted towards foreigners because for R4.6 million you can get a large house with a garden in a secure estate in a suburb in Fourways. South Africa apartments usually have ground floor units which have private gardens. And Fourways has so many centres close by with world class restaurants. You have Monte Casino, Fourways Mall, Fourways Crossing, Pineslopes Shopping Centre, Lonehill Shopping Centre, the newly developed Leaping Frog Centre, Dainfern Square, Cedar Square all within a 5km radius if staying in Lonehill, Beverley or Pineslopes. It is very silly pricing. And then you must still at levies to that? Like what South African can afford it? Even as a professional this is out of reach.
