Nice test. I have also found out in my tuning projects that most of port matching work is almost completely useless. I was surprised to find that no one has been (yet) calling out that you did the matched flange wrong. An interesting aspect of the Stage6 exhaust result is that it is almost as fast at a clearly lower rpm which means it can produce more torque. It could help to reduce the engine wear. Try heat wrapping the MHR pipe. That can raise the powerband by some amount and give a bit more power. A quick change tailpipe restrictor and a larger stinger/silencer diameter are also interesting things to try in an otherwise developed setup.

For this amount of test cases you'll need a dyno for this scooter. The RC cylinder and exhaust should work way above these rpms (after Malossi's description, around 14k). First it seems necessary to find out the proper rpm for the cylinder where it's the strongest. Then your method to find better settings is accurate enough to be on spot. But without a dyno this takes a lot of efforts. But anyway the channel is good and you've got better knowledge than a mechanic and the bike works quite well.

A dyno would be nice, but all I really want is for it to accelerate as quick as it can. If it makes any significant amount of additional power, then I should see it this way. If I can't see it in real world testing, then what good is it to me? I have looked into building a dyno, but I've never found a source for the roller. Some make it sound easy, but all of my friends were on the lookout for a bit and none of us ever came up with anything affordable. I'm not willing or able to invest thousands.

Well I guess now it's time to test the Stage 6 cylinder.... 🤣 Interesting that it seemed happier with a wider range of weights but still wasn't as fast overall. Also surprising that it didn't seem to want any jetting changes.

@@49ccscoot Not worth it, I'm pretty sure it's worse than the Malossi you already have. If anything get the Roost Havoc kit (with exhaust) or the 2fast one.

I've still got the TaoTao. I just get wrapped up in the two-stroke because it's so much faster than the little four-stroke would be.

@@CokieZip Enough to know it's pretty unlikely to have 25-30HP and 80+MPH like my 94cc two-stroke with one. Not saying you can't. GY6 150 based is usually built to get to that level. I'm sure I could have fun with it. My problem has been that there's only so much time in a day so I've focused on the fastest little scoot that I have lately.

Expert:cant polish intake,must get wirlwind.Exhaust stalls cars when outlet are un-even length.Smoke dont move away,next cylinder fire,it blocks the pipe.1 inch longer last cylinder from muffler(?).Straight tube wich are best,none.Use "metal-glue" to build on metal,straigth tube.Bigger than inlet.Maybe they mean you port exhaust.

what is the diameter of the inside the malossi 94cc exhaust? i want to use the malossi 94cc exhaust with the stage6 95cc cylinder and i need the diameter of the hole of the exhaust

I had a flange around so I didn't take mine apart, but the Malossi flange is about 38.5mm diameter. It's a very tight fit so the header itself is not much bigger. I would heat my header a little to get it to fit over.

Awesome video again! I'm about to install a stage 6 70cc kit with a Yasuni R exhaust on my BWS50. Any idea what size main jet to start at for sea level? What about the needle position for break in? The kit didn't come with better reeds?? Do you recommend them or just do it all at the same time with a bigger carb? No instructions can't with it.. Thanks for any advice!

You don't have to have better reeds. You can get carbon fiber replacements pretty cheap or just wait till you're ready to go with a bigger carb and move up to VFORCE. I don't know a specific number. I just look at what's in a carb if it was working before and use that to make a wild guess for starting basically. If you aren't changing the air filter setup, then maybe move up about 10 numbers to start and then just be ready to swap it out once you get to ride and start tuning. You can raise the needle for safety. Again, you'll kinda know if it's way off because it'll sputter too much part throttle or if I don't hear it ever sputter then I will richen it more.

Pretty similar. I'm not really aiming for any certain time. I've just been doing things like separating the flange making and the testing for example and this time I didn't show all of the test runs because I didn't think it was necessary... and I kinda liked the swarm of bees effect with a bunch going at once. lol

stage6 has always exaggerated their parts... and said their parts are the best... personally i had a complete malossi testarosa 94cc engine, on my zip sp2. completely std no mods, with a scooter tube exhaust. which made the 25.50hp. another had the same cylinder pretty much the same set up but on a max ported/flow. minarelli engine block, and it made 25.25hp with a malossi mhr exhaust. so as long as you have an exhaust that has been developed/made for your cylinder kit, it works the best

You may need to use a computer if you aren't. Go to setting and turn on Closed Captioning. Then you should see Auto Translate options. This is how I watch most foreign language video.
