To stop a phone scammer, cover your phone with a sauce pan or cooking pot and repeatedly smack smack it with a big spoon. Pass this on to everyone you know. I understand this call was done over a year ago but at the end of the call that you were on were they being taken down by authorities from where ever this person was and if so were you aware it was gonna happen? the reason I'm asking is my father was taken advantage of by a similar scam before he passed away.

Love it We once got a scammer call gave the phone to our then 2.5 yr old non verbal autistic child for them talk to went back 20 minutes later they were still babbling on about something to him so I handed the phone back to our son and went back to cooking dinner they eventually realised

What get me is no one ever says the Police/CRA/Service Canada don't call to say they are coming to arrest you! Because you won't be home if it was true. Plus there no such thing as debtor prison in Canada, so you would get arrested even if you did have a debt.

I’ve been receiving calls like this for years except from the “IRS” since I’m in the states. Most of the time they spoof their number to have my area code which is dumb because the IRS definitely isn’t calling me from the badlands of Philadelphia lol they’d be better off just using an 800 number, although number aside I still wouldn’t ever fall for that crap cause 1) the IRS/CRA doesn’t call people, they send letters. 2) I don’t even have money to pay my bills & I’m losing my home (lived on this land my whole life but 15yrs ago my late father tore our little crappy house down & built my mom’s dream house... well lower middle class dream house that is but it still means the world to myself & my mom) because of it so I definitely don’t have thousands of dollars for the IRS, real or fake, shit I don’t even have $1 for them, everything I ever have extra of, well I shouldn’t say extra because I never even have enough money to pay bills but whatever I do have that I can spare even if it severely screws me over goes to food & supplies for the homeless because there’s so many where I live & I may be joining them very very soon. Sorry this comment got so off track, honestly having a really hard time with life right now, I mean my life’s always been rough, but this last year & especially the last few months have just been unbearable so when I start talking sometimes I just go off into a rant & completely forget I’m writing a YT comment not a novel.
