Andrew, have you thought about using a photographer's photo umbrella? They have a parabola shape with a metal reflective surface and fold up nice and light.

Could you put two different receiving antennas at the focal point of this parabolic antenna? Both to receive the FPV video signal in 5.8 & 1.2 from the same aircraft. Maybe one dipole and one helical?
