Hi guys. I just found your video...very interesting. I need advice on my "whole house" generator setup. I have a generator inlet below my panel with an interlock on the main breaker...it is safe. My generator is Duromax XP4400 running on propane which is probably one of my problems. When I run my house on the generator most stuff runs fine. My fridges, my furnace, internet equipment. One thing that refuses to run is my induction cooktop which is kind of a bummer. The cooktop runs on 240V and it tries to start but I think it is the electronics/controller that doesn't like something. I can't event start any of the "burners." What can I check, test or fix on the generator to make it work? Cheers!

You can check voltage and frequency/herz. Voltage should be 245VAC and 62.5hz no load. If the cooktop still does not turn on, then I suspect too high THD causing the electronics to not run it.

@@Bassguitarist1985 Thanks. Too low/high voltage can be adjusted on the AVR and the frequency with RPM? And is my assumption correct that the only way to improve THD on my generator is to replace it or a better AVR could do the trick? Thanks again.

@@lukaszborzadek3829 correct on all counts. There is no practical way to filter THD, it's cheaper easier to get an inverter generator.

I’d like to purchase the same Amprobe ACDC-54NAV you have. Where’d you get yours for 300+? I assume the 54 is better than the 52?

@@HeavyFCCHeavyFCC-l9m 600V vs 1000V capable. eBay is where I found mine. They have gotten pricey since THD has been more of a thing with generator purchase and function.

Do any of you know where to buy the jst connectors on both ends of the esc cable that connects the throttle step motor with the inverter board on a Honda EU 2000-2200? I’m aware I can buy an oem cable, but would like to be able to make my own, because lots of aftermarket generators for those models come with the wrong plug ? Thanks, watch all you guys!
