Portable Placeable Display Cases

Hey folks! This new mod will be a stand alone mod when it releases and requires SKSE (no special DLL's or anything though). It is universal and will display any item that you can place in a container. The pedestals can be crafted at a forge and can be dropped to install literally anywhere. The pedestal placements can all be fine tuned from their menu, various sized cases added, and the placement and position of the display items fine tuned as well. They can easily be emptied, picked up and relocated as you see fit and there is no upward limit on number of display cases as of yet. I do need to do some stress testing to see if they cause any issues in large numbers, but a few here and there should be no problem either way.

Absolutely fantastic cant wait to get it in for all those items from none supported mods!!! Quick question do the displays only hold a single item or can multiple be put in the same display

Just one currently. I am going to test if there is a way to define more than one and offset them so you could do more than one in the wider cases, but that's a fringe possibility

I never would’ve thought to ask for this from a mod like LOTD, but oh man this could be a game changer. Idk if you’ll answer my questions but A: will it work for any item, including non LOTD supported mods? B: does it only work in the museum limits, or does it work anywhere? I’ll just finish by saying that this mod got me back into elder scrolls and I can’t thank you enough for that.

It is a universal display system, so any item you can put into a container, it can display. It works anywhere, not just in the museum and will be a stand alone mod that gives you even more display options.

Amazing!! This mod might make me reinstall Skyrim for the 148th time! I remember having a similar mod in Oblivion and wishing that I had something similar in Skyrim and this is exactly that. Good to know that you are still modding the game. Is Odissey still in the works?

This is gold! Love it! I wonder, could I pitch you an idea that is similar to this? I had an idea once that I wanted to display all my Deadric artifacts in a particular way, I looked around for a mod that worked like this one with peaceable display pedestals, and didn't find any. But what I really wanted was a magic display pedestal that you could place an item into and it would magically float above the pedestal and slowly bob up and down with it's own movement. What do you think?

I actually have a player home called the arcane relequary that I haven't released which had displays like that which I would now use this developed mechanic to finish up at some point, it has that sort of suspended magical pedestal display setup

@Rathause it's a wizard themed home in a pocket realm of oblivion. It's several columns suspended in space with floating rubble bridges between them, stars out in the black and a central teleporter portal group that also jumps to each section.

@@icecreamassassin3006 Interesting. I'm not sure it would be for me, but I'd love to try it if you ever release it. I actually love cozy homes with lots of features/secrets, and the apartment above the Dragonborn Gallery is my favorite, so thanks for that.

Marvelous Time to recreate the dragonborn gallery situated entirely within the walls of Breezehome. Jokes aside, are there plans for more different kinds of displays? The wall mounted glass displays would be absolutely awesome in addition to these ones.

Potentially in the future but right now it's limited to single item displays.

Doubt it. That would be too OP. I mean what would be stopping you from making a bunch of iron daggers and display cases over and over again to unlock new quests and items?

​​​​​​​​​@@Fishfiend2820I mean the reason this exists is to display modded items that don't have patches but how will it be able to tell the difference between a modded legendary artifact worthy of display and something as easy to craft as a modded wooden shield and for that matter how would it be able to tell you already displayed it so you can't just keep displaying more modded wooden shields to unlock new quests and items?

@@troll4life662 Well, if you want cheat by placing 400 wooden shield you can do it (first i dont know where to place 400 display case inside the musuem) but i think it just depend on the player, Most of us want Rp, lorefriendly thing so i doubt we will use it for cheating and get quest faster. Your question is really "How i can not using it for cheating?"....Well just dont

No, this is entirely separate from Legacy. It will not have the option of increasing display count. I'd use it to make displays in the safehouse for replicas of key things I find interesting, not to display items that aren't supported honestly. But either way that's too difficult to determine if something is display worthy and would need filter lists and patches and I'm not doing that for this.

@bad_animations3292 they are working on it currently. There's was doubt because of the size and rhaellas availability to update to v6 but looks like it's going forward after all. Will be split into two mod packs
