I just bought this last night got overnight shipping. This thing is awesome but my question is book 4 x 6 work on here because I printed a shipping label in here it worked, but the label was giant. It was as big as the page and I’m trying to see if I could get it smaller

I was going to get one of these one day so I looked around to see how much they paper would be and I can not find full size thermal paper anywhere do you have a link for where you got the paper or did it come with some trial paper because if I can’t get the paper it’s useless On another note I tried several thermal printers to use to print out some return labels and could not get them to just print like a printer. Do you always have to say download the thing you want to print first and then pick it to print because then it’s so time consuming and easier to print from my regular printer. So please let me know if this is how it has to be done

On the P831 if you use the ink transfer ribbons, you can print on any paper - only 45 sheets per ribbon I believe. You can take the carbon rolls out and print on any thermal paper.

What do you mean by "hook it up"....the printer is actually wireless and doesn't need any physical wires to connect. Open your Bluetooth and find the printer name and connect it there via Bluetooth. Hope that helped a year later though lol

I have QR codes that I printed using my mini thermal printer a year ago and they are still readable. Thermal prints need to be stored in dark areas a room temperature to prolong fading like I did with my QR codes

It's a thermal printer so it requires thermal paper. The thermal paper reacts to the heat source which then creates the imaging.

I REALLY APPRECIATED YOUR REVIEW! You explained the printer well & gave a great demonstration! I usually end up with men with thick Middle Eastern voices & speak 95 mph, or Asian women with SUPER SQUEAKY voices. I have an EXTREMELY difficult time trying to discern ANYTHING that is high-pitched because it makes my head want to explode. I have tinnitus from previous work with machinery & a LOT of really great concerts! The Middle Eastern men give only a summary of the item instead of walking you through the entire process. good but thermal prints are temporary, just like an ATM slip, cash memo at at shop. The print will go away in few days if you keep the paper idle. Also, when you put some pressure on the paper it can ruin the print as well. This printer is portable that's good, but print is not durable. I am waiting for the technology when we can have portable printers using normal papers.

Thermal paper is the same paper that receipts are made of, and have bpa’s in them which are toxic especially to men, they’ll increase estrogen and at $187 it’s a hard pass for me, but cool product. If only they made an ink cartridge version that’d work with normal printer paper
