Sorry guys! There's a correction at 1:22 *! The Zenbook 14X OLED uses anodized aluminium for the Inkwell Gray colour we reviewed. The sandstone beige ceramic finish is also based on aluminium.

Very good review ! Do you think that the version with i9 13900H and RTX 3050 is a solid combination for app like SolidWork. I head that the cooling system can't handle the i9.

I won't recommend getting the i9 with RTX3050 pairing too, unless you absolutely have to. I think you'll be feeling the heat from that laptop if you opt for those, and I'm sure the battery life will be shorter too.

I think there are better options for laptop on illustration work/graphic design. A laptop with a dedicated GPU should be better for those task, although battery life will likely be shorter on those. :)

Appreciate the review. 6 hours of battery life seems alot for this version of laptop. What methods did you use to get it to last 6 hours eg: lower brightness, change power modes...I ask because other reviews on this laptop only claim to get 4-5 hours

brightness was around the mid-high of brightness, and the power mode we used was just the balanced power settings :)

The real question is does it have the longevity of an Apple Macbook pro M2? Or in 3 years it evolves into a slow rolling machine?

It really depends on what you do with it. My 8 year old windows laptop is still going strong. I mainly use ms office and do web browsing watch youtube netflix etc.
