Portal Axles DESTROY Ball Joints! (Wait, is it really a problem?)

When we were up in Big Bear we catch up with one of our engineers Erik and talk about how his portals are holding up after a few years and 40K+ miles on his JK Jeep and how they affect the ball joints.

My biggest concern is with the leverage against weakness of the factory Jeep Axle housing. JK housings are known to bend pretty easily, JL\JT housing is very weak at the FAD. I think this is why most of your JL\JT build are running rock jock 60 housings, which turns your portals into an unaffordable mod for most. Obviously none of this is your fault, you did not design the housings that come in Jeeps.

@@patrickjamesmcb we have had very good success with the JL housings. We have literally not seen a failure from a customer to date. The only issue we have is from a trill who left us a bad google review saying he broke everything 🙄. Funny cause he isn’t a customer based on our records. Guess you can’t make everyone happy.
