@@74weld- I want to support an American-made brand, but the economics just don’t add up. Even with a household income of nearly $300k, I find this price to be completely out of touch. I’m all for paying a premium for top-quality products-I use brands like Alu-Cab, Goose-Gear, and PowerBrakes, to name a few-but there has to be some balance. Charging $20k for these, when similar products in Europe are selling for as low as $12k and are being used intensively, just seems excessive. Does the 20k include those new methods wheels you’re releasing along with UCAs and LCAs? Thats sounds like a bundle that could be worthwhile….
@74weld4 күн бұрын
@@Jotin8664 the ones in Europe bolt to your factory knuckle. We feel this is not safe and will lead to failure so we replace the entire knuckle. The tibus portals are also just made in china. Even if we sourced them from overseas the big added cost here is replacing the knuckle from 7075. We are not interested in producing a sub par product. @@74weld I know, I was being a smart 🫏😁 I’m sorry but I can’t help myself. Amazing truck and build - totally agreed that the Ranger Raptor is the ultimate all-rounder. Are you planning a winch bumper? Seems a winch is the only thing missing on this rad truck
@74weld7 күн бұрын
@@willritchie4794 yes no. I see no room on the front of the truck…since I’m running 37’s I also can’t fit a spare under the truck (I carry a gluetread kit instead of a spare anyways). We are making a rear mounted winch that replaces the factory hitch and is tucked up high and hidden. My take on winches….a winch is good to have but very rarely do I want to be pulled forward. I would rather be pulled back. If I try an obstacle and get stuck I only tried it because I believe I can make it…so pull me back and let me try again. 90% of the time I am using a winch to pull someone else out. If I want to pull forward or pull someone else out I can always slide on a protective sheath and run the winch cable under the vehicle and pull forward that way. I talked to Justin at Factory 55 about this and got a thumbs up from him

can't wait to see what you do with arch flairs. FYI Australian laws require that you have zero tyre poke past the main treads. And given that the portals will be just outside of vehicle lift laws in my state, the tyre poke would definitely catch the eye of the cops and then the tape measure will inevitably come out. So wish these came out 1 year ago so i could have got a pre rego engineering certificate. Trying to get alterations done legally after rego is a nightmare in this country. And once a vehicle has been registered you can't go back.
