Portal - This Is Aperture (Remake)

A 10-year anniversary remake of This Is Aperture; a Portal parody inspired by Tim Burton and Danny Elfman's 'This Is Halloween' song. All the animation and scenes were recreated from the ground-up in Source 2, all the voices re-recorded, and the music remastered. Overall, about 3 months of work went into this, but it was a really fun project to revisit! ;)
I cannot believe it has been 10 years since the original video was made. How time flies! I can't thank you all enough for the support and following along on this strange ride called KZbin. Thank you all. ^_^

By the technical side, holy hell, this was amazing. The light was top notch and the effects too. By the Musical side, I have to give props to the older version. I liked it more. Holy freaking cow I am in _L O V E_ with this! I remember being 9 and seeing your original This Is Aperture and absolutely loving it. Now I'm 19 and I'm in AWE with the improvement! I love how the shots are insanely similar to the OG, just with extra polish and shine that really makes it stand out more. The re-recorded lines giving extra layers to the song and vocals. Seriously, I love the harmonies mixing with the melodies. The high sweet tunes of the normal turrets singing with the lower, more gruff, deeper defective turrets just make it so much better. Plus Wheatley sounds more gruff, kinda adds to him being freaking terrified of the place. Honestly seeing this was a treat and then some. Seeing you improve over the years is amazing, And I hope you'll be able to continue and do so. The cake may be a lie, but the sheer improvement in this is not!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!

I do prefer the old Cave Johnson version, yes. The new one is just... off. Admittedly I am iffy on GLaDOS too. She sounds like Portal 1 GLaDOS rather than the one in Portal 2.

I am the same with Cave Johnson a lot of the sounds I can take as a new and different take on the older version but Cave Johnson just didn't have the power behind his voice the commanding feeling.
