White college kids in the 20s bought a lot of Black Jazz records, and that inspired a lot of White musicians to join the fun. BeBop? R&B? Rock? HipHop? All feature some creditable, sometimes brilliant work by White musicians. Don't misunderstand me, Black musicians invented this stuff - Joplin, Armstrong, Parker, T-Bone.... These musicians were talented and driven, and they deserve whatever acclaim they get. But Ms. Stone is damned impressive here. You should enjoy the show.
