Thx! I thought so too, but really the only unique thing I can attribute it to is the transfer port angles and roofs that I worked over with a dentist drill type tool

Great job how did you for gas tank I'll pay for one
@motoredbikemadness2061Ай бұрын
It’s a pre made frame you can buy for motorized bicycles- this one is a “felt faker”. Google felt faker gas tank frame and you’ll see them for sale. They come with the tank integrated, but you usually have to seal them up yourself (gas leaks at the welds lol)

Any info on porting the yd100... Never did port work before... trying to acquire some info before I start
@motoredbikemadness2061 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I didn’t put a degree wheel on it, if you’re planning to. But I mostly stuck to the stock port windows anyways. So basically- I kept the transfer timing the same (didn’t cut the port edge any higher), but I used a 90 degree rotary tool (‘dentist drill’) to fix the transfer roofs. (there was an angled ridge ~5mm from the port exit where the port suddenly narrows and angles up more, all of the two-transfer port bike motors I’ve seen have it). Transfer roofs should ideally be flat and aim 90* across for power- so I ground down the entire roofs to be 90* and the same height as the old exit edge (which was the highest part). This way I also don’t have to worry about making them two different heights. I also ground out the rear (intake side) corners of the transfer exits so they aim even more away from the exhaust. Just doing this stuff, and especially from removing those crappy casting ridges made the ports look way larger. Now the exhaust, which people usually prioritize I haven’t done much to yet. Just measured it, and it’s 20mm tall and only 22 wide- so it would definitely help now to widen the exhaust a bunch. But since I never degree wheeled it I kept it small and conservative.
@motoredbikemadness2061 Жыл бұрын
And ofc the intake porting is null/void since it has a windowed piston. I just enlarged it a little bit anyways.

What carb is that? What size is you used?
@motoredbikemadness20612 жыл бұрын
It’s a China copy of the dellorto PHBG carb. If you Google PHBG carb there are 19,20,and 21mm size Chinese copies you can buy. I think they’re used for 2 stroke scooters

Thats a really nice build you got there just subbed anf liked btw How much power Will i get if i don't port it but with an expansion chamber reed and 21 mm carb and Windowed piston ?
@ghettobikelife88339 ай бұрын
Is this a yd100 you’re talking about or a regular “80cc” motor?
@ghettobikelife88339 ай бұрын
Do you mean an expans. chamber similar to in this vid, or one of those super short little ones that hang below the bike? Usually those short “banana pipe” expansion chambers don’t help at all
@motoredbikemadness2061Ай бұрын
Maybe 3.5-4hp if you use a good style expansion chamber and reed valve/better flowing carb (not something super short, or those ultra long-thin ones like the flexible ones). But you’ll be limited in rpm pretty drastically using a properly designed pipe on a stock port timing exhaust
@damnthiccassboye7138 Жыл бұрын
what is the max rpm and do you have a balanced crank??
