Thanks very muchly! I've had the part for about 2 months now, and you've given me hope so today's the day! A good buddy of mine, welder by trade, great shade tree mechanic by choice, has a favorite expression " The main thing is, don't be afraid"

Absolutely. What do you have to loose it's already broken. Take your time and be gentle. Good luck!

I am happy to see someone who repairs their own tools. I see so many guys who just go out a buy a new one. Fact it there was a man here when I was working on my Portor Cable circular saw and he asked why I didn't just go out and get a new one. Well for one thing they don't make the model I like the best any more and for another like for you it is rewarding to make a repair. We are still getting rain every day. Very hot during the day then thunderstorms every evening into the night. Lots of times 1 inch or a little more. The ground is saturated but that might be a good thing, I don't know. Hope you are getting some of this rain if you need it. Thank you for the video and have a good weekend.

I love to repair things.. when it goes well but it usually does. Nothing like putting something back into service. We have gotten more rain than usual for August but no where near what you have received. I have been a little distracted the last few weeks. My mother passed away 8/9. She had dementia and is much better off in heaven than here but I still miss her. There is a lot to take care of but it's almost done. I hope things are going well for you Glenn!

I cannot see the link for the part in the comments but I believe I had the same problem. Took the stem out oiled the sticky o-ring but that didn’t help. Thanks for this video!

I'm wondering if anyone noticed the exact symptom for this failure. Mine leaks air like this one, but the anvil that drives the nails won't return to its upmost position, which is what got me on this in the first place. This happened right after I rebuilt the upper seals which failed due to incompatible cheap seals, which lead me to thinking I had put it back together wrong. Great video, thanks. I'm having the same issue and will take mine apart. Gotta wonder why they make these things with O-rings that don't hold up like that. Such a cheap part, and such a pain when it fails.

Nice! I was able to fix my nailer (same model) using your video as reference. I didn't have a straight punch small enough for the job, so I used the one of the 16ga nails from the gun (head down).

Might've mentioned to keep gun oiled-
@mmiller28282 жыл бұрын
Do not oil this gun or the part you just replaced will die shortly. This is a no oil gun and says so in the instructions. Ask me how I know
