Love the alternative direction, forreal though every Porter project has such a distinct sound yet its still very clearly his style. Very My Chemical Romance or Panic at the Disco vibes

I wouldn’t say the star player for this track is the production (but definitely as good as it needs to be imo) but the lyrics and the message Porter is eluding to in the track is something that’s very interesting. I’m curious to hear how it all plays out with the album in context

These types of tracks naver gave me anything, I don't think i'd even notice it. It's such a background noise to me similar to the mainstream poppy songs in the radio. Don't get me wrong, I think what PR was going for, he executed masterfully. For me it just blends in with so much other music as I'm so accustomed to the heavy stuff.

imo its a really great pop tune. but I'm not really into pop in general. felt the same way about most of nurture. I personally think Spitfire/ Worlds/ Virtual Self are much better.

That's okay, those older tunes aren't going anywhere and there's plenty of stuff out there being released that's more like worlds or virtual self :) Nurture was one of my favourite albums in a long time. Very much an artist's album, but one with loads of catchiness and interesting productions too. I also think nurture is the most natural way of his music evolving to be more mature as he himself becomes more mature ❤

@@BVSSIC yeah i agree about nurture, it has great production and writing. i just don’t find myself coming back to it like his other projects. purely from my subjective taste i didn’t enjoy it as much. i really liked a few of the tracks though like windtempos and dullcythe
