I met Porter in 2012 when Madeon came to KCMO. I was walking on the sidewalk after the show to meet Madeon with no idea Porter was there. This dude ahead me had a porter shirt on, so I tapped him on the back and said nice shirt. He asked if I’d seen Porter, and that Madeon shows aren’t as crazy as Potter’s shows. After I met Madeon, this guy walked away with him, and then it hit me that I had just met Porter without knowing who he was because his digital presence looks so different from how he actually exists irl. For the record, pre-knowing-it-was-Porter Porter was metaphysically chill and looked like some random physically healthy dude who might work at a mountain climbing place or a bike repair shop.

I actually went to the virtual self tour not realizing it was his alias. I thought virtual self was another person and I'd see two sets. One by VS one by Porter. I learned once I was at the venue. The show blew me away. Didn't mind at all that not a single "Porter" track was played

I'm not a big EDM fan but I've always connected with Porter ever since my GF dragged me to a rave years ago. There's something so genuine and endearing about him. The vulnerability and wisdom he shows is infectious. I've never heard of this show but it's a great atmosphere, you can tell Porter feels comfortable just hanging out talking about what he loves.
