My mother loved Johnny and Jack. I loved watching Porter. Loved his band. After yeard of listening to the Grand Ol Opty and all the country singers, didn't know Kitty and Johnny were married.

There is just something about those Okies, like Norma Jean that add class to the show. They had so much exposer to all kinds of music out there. And of course Texas, but Texas is 10 times bigger.

It says 1963 so I was wondering if this was post Patsy C. plane crash, looking at porter and seeing a tan I thought yes, than when Johnny stepped up to the mike I realized it was cause he'd have been with Jack A. (Johnny and Jack). Jack died on the 6th of March, the day after the plane crash as he was on his way to the funeral. I wonder how I'd feel about normally scheduled appearances if I was in country music back than, I think I'd have to take off a few months which is what happened to Loretta Lynn.

Eugene, you know more about the song than me. I had a vague recollection of the song and found it in a music book. I learned to play an instrumental version on piano and I love to play this song. It is very bittersweet and well written poetry. I love seeing this video and am thankful to see it on youtube. Thank you for your comments.
