Those intake ports are helical ports, designed to create swirl. The root word helix describes a spiral staircase, that gave me a better idea how to go about porting the helical ports in my 7.3 Powerstroke. Coast To Coast Diesel Enthusiasts is my KZbin channel, I’ve been working on the heads in my spare time but I’m pretty closes to the polishing stage. I’ve used a T bore gauge to help keep a consistency across all the ports, both intake runners and helical ports as well as the exhaust ports. I want to get custom valves and upgrade to better valve guides and seats because the factory heads have inducted valve seats and hardened valve guides. This video is definitely great to see someone else doing port work. 2 thumbs up!
