It's the oringinal version; "hell hath no fury than a woman scorned." It's a song of emotional insanity. This tone just happens to fit the lyrics compared to the mainstream release.

This is 2000 me. Raver me. Portland Oregon. Downtown. Industrial area. Illegal raving. People wearing masks on purpose, head down in the gutter. Smelling of Vicks vapo rub. Pupils the size of saucers. The rabbit comes. Tells you you're too late for the tea party. Too late down the rabbit whole. Are you big? Maybe youre small. But you take the blue pill anyway. Hoping you can find your way out of Alice's world and back to your own. The clouds .... You reach out. Taste them. They taste like cotton candy from the fair. Suddenly you're hot. Overwhelmed you take your clothes off. Alone you can feel the warm sun on your face. But it's not reality. That's actual the warmth from the blanket you have over your face. The one you're trying to breathe you're guilt through. You open your eyes and you're at home. You're stereo is softly playing this song. It's the background to the night you just had. It's all you remember for the moment. Your eyes are heavy. You're tired.of fighting the demon of sleep. You succumb. wake up!

Why isn't this remix on Spotify?
@DJDiegoGarcia4 жыл бұрын
@CDXX really? didn't know that. I have this version on my Glory Times Cd (Double CD-Single with Sour Times and Glory Box remixes and versions) and this version was released commercially by Portishead. are you sure Scorn and Portishead had a beef? I thought the legal lawsuit was between Portishead and The Craft producers because they didn't want their music released on the film.
@DJDiegoGarcia4 жыл бұрын
@CDXX i still would love to know more about it. But this version was released officially by Portishead in the Glory Box CD-Single from 1994. As you can see in this link. So it was an official remix. Maybe the movie producers approached Scorn instead of Portishead to license the remix and they got mad with Scorn. But this remix was definitely made with their consent. www.discogs.com/Portishead-Glory-Box/master/5557
@DJDiegoGarcia4 жыл бұрын
@CDXX to be honest, Portishead is very protective of their work and I am even impressed they allowed their music to be featured on the movie/soundtrack in the first place. Specially being a mainstream/Hollywood movie. I don't think it's a dispute over money because they also never allowed their music to be commercially exploited on ads and stuff...
