Your cats are pretty. I had one at one time, but he died about eight years ago. He did that paw thing too. He didn't know what to think of the snow when we got it. He lived to be eighteen years old.

do you have any tips on getting a cat? Preferably the playful types, not the hissing hide under your couch types.

ayan egal Playfulness depends on the cat's personality and likes. One of my cats acts like a puppy but doesn't play with her cat toys. My other cat acts more like what people expect cats to behave like, but she loves her cat toys (plushie mice, chasing lazor lights). But it mostly depends on how cats are socialized. Both my kitties were found in the streets, and neither bite, scratch, or attack me. Some people try to train cats as they would dogs, but that isn't the right approach the majority of the time. Just be patient and get to know your cat. If it bites or misbehaves, make a crying sound and they will get what you mean and stop. Ignoring them also makes them trust you, which seems counter intuitive lol but that's how they roll. If a cat is hiding under the bed, they are scared and have low self esteem. ): I recommend searching for Jason Galaxy's videos on cat behavior and training.

ayan egal there are so many good cats. Go to your local shelter. They have rooms where you can interact with cats you might be interested in. You can see their personalities. Then you need to keep the cat inside, forever or at least for months, with playtimes and cat trees and toys. Build a good relationship. Combing or brushing respectfully is bonding as well. .
